that poll is outdated though, we've gotten so many rumors on the secondary villain since then. at the time that poll was started, we were completely in the dark

Hard to say.

Could be Doomsday, which could be CGI, so no actor announced.

Could be Metallo. (Scoot McNairy and his green socks?)

Could just be Lex (with Mulvey and Okamoto as KGBeast and Mercy Graves, possibly with cybernetic enhancements. Maybe he's got some lex-bots too)

I'm fine with anything, since Batman and Superman will be each other's antagonists for a fair chunk of the movie I assume.

Snyder said BvS is not a straight up VS movie and it does have the "Dawn of Justice" subtitle. To me that means that their fight will take place before the final act of the movie and the final act wil focus on them working together to take down the villain. It's safe to assume that Wonder Woman will join them for that as well. Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman fighting together? You're going to need someone other than Lex Luthor to stand against all three of them.

Metallo would be nice, but I don't know if he'd be enough. Although maybe Metallo is just a prototype Luthor made and he also has an army of robots at his disposal. Then again maybe that's a little similar to Ultron.

Brainiac would be awesome, but I would like it if he was introduced in a solo Superman movie first, or maybe in Justice League. Especially if he had some sort of connection to Krypton. Maybe he simply took Kandor and downloaded all Kryptonian knowledge, but didn't bother destroying them because he knew that the planet was doomed. I think they could get away with something like that even though there was no mention of it in MoS.

As for Doomsday... I'll agree with those that have said that it's too early. At least if he's used for the same purpose he was originally used in the comics. I wouldn't really mind in the end though. That fight could be amazing. I also like the idea someone mentioned in another thread about how Superman and Wonder Woman could be fighting Doomsday while Batman deals with Luthor and potentially another smaller villain while trying to find more about Doomsday and how to stop him.

Out of those three I think only Metallo and Doomsday have been rumored. At least for this movie. Doomsday has been mentioned a lot more though and Cavill did say he liked the DoS storyline. I'm not sure if he's going to be the second villain, but I wouldn't be surprised if he is.

Not necessarily. If Lex can 'stand against' Superman, he can stand against the trinity, or the league. He just has to make a doubly schemy scheme.

There was also that rumor a while back about Bruce protecting Gotham via drones, Kingdom Come style. Maybe they get corrupted by Lex, or perhaps some other unknown force (revealed in JL to be Brainiac).

It's hard to say, they have kept this thing extremely secret so I wouldnt be surprised at who or what shows up.
But, if I were a betting man, i'd put my money on doomsday.

They might wanna go with robots tbh, Superman will have like no villains to go up against by the time his next solo comes up

That was pretty much debunked.

I think there will be a secondary villain. Faraci has said repeatedly that it's Doomsday. I'm not a fan of the guy BUT he did have very good things to say about the script he read... mainly that it's indeed a MOS sequel (despite the presence of Batman, Wondy and others) and that it truly sets up Superman as the hero everyone wants him to be (since MOS clearly didn't please everyone in this regard). So if all that is true, then I'm fine with Doomsday being our secondary villain, even if it feels a tad too soon.

But I'd prefer Brainiac or Metallo. I still think there's an outside shot that Scoot McNairy might be playing John Corben. I never bought that Jimmy Olsen rumor about him.

I voted Metallo, as I'm not sure I want to see Doomsday yet.

Although it really depends upon the writing, if done well I might change my mind when I actually see the film.

I do too...but at some point in the film you are going to want to see Supes and Bats team up to take down a larger threat.

Or at least I want to see them team up, even more then I want to see them fight it out! Playing them against each other wouldn't work for the whole movie...eventually they have to wise up to Lex. And since Lex is not a physical villain, Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman are going to need SOMETHING big to go up against.

I mean if we never get to see these three go all out with their powers against a villain I will be one seriously disappointed fan!

This poll isn't what you think should happen, but what you think will happen.

There have been very few Metallo rumors. Scoot McNairy and his green socks, Callan Mulvey also could be Metallo. many of the usual rumor sites agree that Doomsday is in this movie

Even if most fans want Metallo, i think we're getting Doomsday.

Cavill even said that he wanted to see Superman fighting Doomsday.

I think Lex will be watching somehow and Doomsday will be taken out by Superman, with the help of Batman and Wonder Woman. Hopefully they can make it interesting enough without killing every building in sight. Maybe take the fight out to a more secluded area.

That would be so boring. A bunch of faceless, generic robots being taken down by a few superheroes feels so unimaginative now. Not saying they won't do it, but god no.

Robots would work if you also had another villain like Metallo. Although I'm still not sure if Metallo would be enough. With the addition of the robots you would give the superheroes a chance to unleash their powers.

Either way, I'm sure there's another villain, or maybe villains, in the movie. I can't wait to find out who it/they is/are. I doubt we'll find out in the teaser though. I'm guessing that first look will focus on the VS aspect. Probably at Comic-Con.
