I didn't see a thread on this: how will Bruce enter the batcave?

For me, plain and simple: I want him to have the good old grandfather clock, adjust the time until it reaches the precise moment when his parents died: wich of course reflects the origin of his crusade: every night begins with a reminder of what started it. I realy hope this will be considered...

oh and no elevator for me, but long crooked steps to represent his descent in darkness, in the cave, but also in his own self, and his alter ego.

...WHOS WITH ME?

ho come on!

how great would that be to be in the theatre watching this film and the first time Bale goes to suit up he flips a swirch to reveal a secret door with a pole leading to the cave. I would roar!lol

Now THAT would be a tribute.

So.....you want him to get worn out or risk slipping down the stairs and breaking his neck (75% of all accidents occur in the home) before he even starts out to fight crime for the night?

hmm, sounds good.

are you telling me batman should stay away from stairs to avoid injury!?...
Fine: how about they install a handrail? would you be reassured then?:oldrazz:

Indeed, and think about poor Alfred having to carry the Vichyssoise down those steps

^ plus how long is it going to take him to run down all of those stairs...remember who long that elevator shaft was in Begins?

OSHA rules says that stairways in the workplace should be built for safety....do you want Batman to be fined by the Federal Government for breaking the law?

He should have the seperate rocket propelled Alfred Pole.

Its not like Batman's an 80 yr old man.
Hmmm.....1938 - 2007 = 69.....You're right....he's not an 80 year old man.

you guys have the funniest arguments, I'm glad I started this thread.
As for the lenght of the stairs, I undertand what you're saying but its not like the camera has to be on him the whole time, they can cut it to when he reaches the cave's floor. PLus wouldn't it be a great shot to see his silouete (sp?) in the entrance (the camera being at the bottom of the stairs), gazing at the darkness that's looking right back at him? that's been used more than once in the comics, its always a nice shot.

I'd imagine it'd be something like "Open the Grandfather Clock, walk onto the elevator" or a more advanced way to get down to the cave. Since he is improving on the South-East Wing's Foundations.

Heheh, awesome. :oldrazz:

BTW 1938-2007 is -69. Just pointing that out. :woot:

by the way what the hell is he gona say to the people renovating (heck rebuilding) the place?
«ho that uge cave beneath the house? think nothing of it...»

I know I should be burned for asking this but what was the entrance in the 1989 flick? I realy forgot.

they could have it both ways.

i remember reading in the comics how Batman would talk to someone at the Manor as Bruce Wayne, would tell them to meet him at the cave below, then that character is led winding stairs by Alfred and Batman would be there waiting for them.

so certainly there has to be a faster way of getting to the cave. its just super secret that only Batman and Alfred and Robin would know about it.

besides this is Batman we're talking about. theres always more than one way. :batty:
