I'm not someone who read Secret Warriors, so I'm genuinely curious. Quake is obviously on the show and Slingshot apparently will be. Obviously, the show is also creating original characters, but who else do you want to see from the comics?

Just going off Wikipedia, there have been:

Current members
Nick Fury (codename: Motherf'in Sam Jackson)
Daisy Johnson (Quake)
Yo-Yo Rodriguez (Slingshot)
Jerry Sledge (Stonewall)
Eden Fesi (Manifold)
Former members
Sebastian Druid
J.T. James
Alexander Aaron (Phobos)

There are some rights issues. Of these characters, Stonewall is probably off limits since he was created for X-Men and part of Freedom Force for awhile (he's also complicated and stupid). Eden is cool. He's probably available, but his backstory isn't (he's a mutant who was trained by Gateway, also an X-Men character). The rest are likely available.

I'll wait before I give my thoughts since I'm less familiar with the characters.

That's the other Stonewall (Louis Hamilton), who was created for X-Men. The one on Secret Warriors is Jerry Sledge, son of Absorbing Man. His powers are also extremely similar to Creel's. So they could use him if they wanted, but I wonder how they'd introduce him, as him being Creel's son would make it so that Creel would need to have become a father at the age of 19 at the latest if they want Jerry to be a very young adult, which although definitely possible, might seem a bit young.

Yo-Yo has been confirmed about as much as it was confirmed that Spencer Treat Clark would play Phobos, so that isn't saying much. They did reference her dad Johnny Horton in season 1. In the comics she got her powers in a similar way to how Daisy got them (until retconned), namely through her the mutated DNA of her father who had been experimented on. Because of this, she could easily be an inhuman on the show.

I like Eden a lot, and hope to see him one day. Although his origin would indeed need to change completely.

Druid is not actually placed correctly as "former member", as he wasn't actually kicked off the team. That was just part of Fury's plan. I feel it would probably be better to introduce him around the time Doctor Strange comes out, as he's linked to that part of the universe a lot. I do feel like his personality from the comics might be a bit too similar to Joey's.

I don't really care for seeing James T. James, as his character and arc are too similar to Ward's, and we probably won't have a link to the Phantom Rider anyway.

Phobos would be really cool. They could probably have a season long subplot about him. Definitely more than with any of the others. I'm not sure if they'd want to introduce the Greek pantheon on tv though. But then again, they did introduce the inhumans.

From the other characters on the show Deathlok would be the obvious choice. If he gets on the team I really hope for another upgrade to his costume, and maybe a bit more personality too.

My biggest fears for the Secret Warriors on the show are that 1)it will have mostly inhumans, which would make the characters a bit too similar, imo. and 2) it will have a lot of original characters, which would really be a missed opportunity imo, as there are so many interesting characters they could choose from. With the inclusion of Lincoln and Joey (and maybe Alisha) it's not looking very good in this regard.

If they really wanted to include "original" characters, they might look at the other caterpillars, from team grey and team black. They barely have any established backstory, personality and canon, but at least they're sort of from the comics and related to the secret warriors. Or perhaps even some no-name participants of the 50 states initiative.

As much as I love AoS, it wouldn't surprise me to see it cancelled and replaced with Sectret Warriors. Same cast, minus Ward, Mac, Morse and Hunter. It would work well and give everyone the "superhero" stuff they've craved.

Well, two of the characters are probably leaving anyway and I'm not sure the need to change the name to achieve the result.

My concern is so far we've had a half season tease of Secret Warriors and the Proto Secret Warriors team looks less than exciting.

i think the only powers that have looked good on the show so far are:
Quake,
Blind Teleporter (season 2)
Multiple Girl ( Ginja Ninja)

I've been disappointed with how Lincoln's powers look -
Given that they're electrical he is nothing compared to Static Shock or Electro

now I get that Inhumans are a different class of powered compared to say Mutants but electro powers should be cool

Lincoln should be able to boost his power by tapping into an electric main (energy absorption), create defensive force fields (energy sheild)
have enhanced strength when fully charged etc

Look at Electro's powers

Agility
Attractive Male
Blast Power
Electricity Control
Electronic Disruption
Energy Absorption
Energy Based Constructs
Energy Manipulation
Energy Shield
Energy-Enhanced Strike
Flight
Intellect
Stamina
Super Speed
Super Strength
Unarmed Combat

Now Static Shocks

Agility
Attractive Male
Electricity Control
Electronic Disruption
Electronic interaction
Energy Absorption
Energy Manipulation
Energy Shield
Energy-Enhanced Strike
Flight
Force Field
Gadgets
Healing
Intellect
Leadership
Levitation
Magnetism
Marksmanship
Technopathy

I hate to say it, but so far the best "looking" superpowers on tv are from The Flash

I wont even talk about "Melt it" Man :cwink:

But, personality wise I prefer Joey despite the fact that he's barely had any screen time. Heck, personality wise I prefer Mack, Bobbi, and Hunter and they don't have a single "super power" between them! Yet I'd way rather watch a show on those three than a lot of super powered characters from this and other shows. Power diversity and strength is such a minor part of what makes a good show it hardly even ranks.

The show hasn't really delivered with the Secret Warriors material they were teasing earlier on.

Gordon was by far the best visually appealing and interesting character with powers throughout the entire run of the show so far. I was hoping he would stick around but we know how that went.

I agree that the Secret Warriors have been on the back burner all year, so here's to hoping they get moved to the forefront. I'll also say that as much as I love Coulson, I'm getting a little tired of his character. Wish they'd scale him back some and let other characters get my development.

Little update on who will (almost certainly) be on the team:

Comic Book Secret Warriors
  • Daisy Johnson/Quake
  • (Elena) Yo Yo Rodriguez/Slingshot
  • Eden Fesi/Manifold

Other Comic Book Characters
  • Carl Creel/Absorbing Man
  • Deathlok (possibly)

Original Characters
  • Lincoln Campbell/Sparkplug
  • Joey Gutierrez(/Meltdown?)
  • Alisha(/Ginger Ninja(s)) (possibly)

Let's have a look at who's left of the team from the comics:

  • Jerry Sledge/Stonewall - highly unlikely, redundant because his father has the same powers and Yo Yo already has a love interest, plus he couldn't realistically be older than like 19 if Creel wasn't a father before adulthood.
  • Sebastian Druid/Druid - I think we'll see him at one point, but probably in the first half of next season to tie in with Doctor Strange
  • Alexander Aaron - Not sure they'd want to introduce the Greek pantheon in the show, but then again, they did introduce inhumans in the first place. Wildcard
  • J.T. James/Hellfire - His story has already been done with Ward and I'm feeling they're doing something similar with Lincoln as well, plus we have no Ghost Rider/Phantom Rider yet in the MCU so I doubt they'd want to do his story.

Also, I'm getting the feeling that out of Lincoln and Joey at least one of them will die or leave the team otherwise this season. Especially Lincoln seems like he won't have a happy ending. Poor Daisy... J.T. James, Miles Lydon and Grant Ward were all seduced and used by Hydra and two of them died because of it. She really doesn't have the best of luck.
