I am thinking about dropping amazing and I was wondering whats Sensational like and whats a good point to start buying it?

I'd stick with Amazing. Sensational is sorta out there on its own limb, like FNSM. However, Sensational kinda has a classic feel to it. My advice: pick up a couple copies of both series. Decide which one you like best. It really depends on the readers intrest.

Sensational's pretty good, so I say drop all Spidey books other than that and Spider-Girl.

I would agree with half of that statement. Spider-Girl is the ONLY good Spidey book atm.

I have Sensational #27, does anyone want it?
I have it on my computer.

Thanks for the advice I'll check a couple of issues tomorrow.

Buy Sensational its a fine read, ASM is crap.

You just don't like Civil War. I actually enjoy it. The Other was waaay out there where Spidey should never go. However, I do agree that I would really like to see a good old spidey story with action and an something that doesn't involve the new avengers.

I guess its just what the reader likes.
*SPOILER*- I hate the idea of spiderman unmasking infront of the media. Who was the idiot that came up with that?

I love Civil War....but ASm is a crap-fest of gargantuan proportions...has been for awhile now.

His name was Joe Quesada.

I'm just pissed they decided to dust off this title. S'what I was doin' my stories under, dammit.

That guy really has a hand in everything doesn't he? I want some good spidey stories. That means action, a good plot, and excellent art.

He is the editor in cheif of Marvel. Ultimate has some good stories. Friendly Neighborhood is kinda new but I enjoy it alot.

yeah but it seems like the best stories are where he has no input into it. for example ultimate works along the lines of thew 616 universe with bendis-twists in it. FNSM is defo the work of the writer when its good. the hobgoblin 2211 was created by the current writer (forget his name) ina spider-man 2099/spider-man one-shot.

the other, sins past, sins remembered are all based on his ideas, input and EDITING of previous story. if pete had two grown-up twins with powers that hated his guts we wudnt have had a problem. norman and gwen gettin it awwwn? awful idea. JQs idea - they WERE supposed to be peteys children originally.

it does lead to an interesting development though. maybe kingsley has some illigitimate fast-aging psycho children out there to be new and interesting villains (i.e. NOT a goblin or a symbiote). Who knows?

Sensational's my favorite Spidey book. I probably won't renew my subsciption to FNSM and I havn't read ASM in QUITE a while. So at least, in my own opinion, SSM is the only Spider title that's worth reading. But I REALLY love it.

And the writer also has a love for the nearly forgotten characters, and tries to stay very true to continuity. So, if you're into that, then, there you go. For example, he has a Chameleon story coming up soon after a one shot.

And if you like that, then he also was the writer for Marvel Knights Fantastic Four which was nothing but awesome. So, I recommend that too, if you're a Four fan.

I agree. Ultimate Marvel has some of the best books out there.

i'm actually quite liking Amazing Spider-Man at the moment.
i'm not a huge fan of Spidey unmasking, but i think it's better than hobgoblin from 2099 or whatever coming back.
i'm starting Sensational from #28 so i can't judge that title, hopefully it's as good as amazing.
