Magical food is a common thing in fantasy stories isn't it? Any lit majors in here can elaborate on that? I'm just trying to turn this into a more academic direction to see what happens btw... I've read a bit on folk and fairy tales. They frequently use magical foods similar to the apple in the garden of eden. I'd like to see something like that in dragonball, but if not, that's ok. Goku can draw his strength from his woman instead.

It'll turn out that goku is getting his assed whipped and he's down on the ground and it all seems hopeless, then they'll have some form of flash back where roshi gave him these "magical beans" where he says something along the lines of "only take these in your greatest emergency" and then the whole entire movies turns and goku wins.
