A server at Gusano's Pizzeria in Conway, Ark. says she was fired after calling the police on a woman drinking alcohol and breastfeeding her child at the same time. She's now demanding answers from her former employer.

Jackie Conners said she watched Tasha Adams, 28, consume "drink after drink" last Wednesday and finally called the police. Conners told KARK 4, "Me being a mom, and just seeing something like that and seeing a baby that can't speak for itself having a parent do something like that is just unacceptable."

Adams was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a minor and the 7-month-old child was released to family members. According to the Daily Mail, Adams believes the incident was "blown out of proportion" and wants people to know she's "really a normal person."

Several days after the incident, Conners says she was fired for "taking the situation into her own hands." However, a manager at Gusano's said the call to police was "not the reason" she lost her job.

What kind of idiot mother drinks and breast feeds her baby? She was probably knocking them back when she was prego too. Good thing this lady stepped up, it's screwed up she lost her job for doing the right thing

Another example of why some people should not breed.

I actually didn't know you can't drink booze and breastfeed at the same time. Then again, as a guy who is by nature not designed to procreate, I guess it doesn't matter, but I would have to need it explained to me what happened there.

Well it doesn't instantly go to the breast milk and a glass of red wine or two in moderation is fine but if she was slamming them back like the server said she was the next day or so her breast milk would have booze in it and could get the baby sick. And since she was drinking like that now she has probably been drinking heavily for a while which is bad for the baby

You were born without testes?

Like a GI Joe doll, thank you! Leave me some dignity! :argh:

What I don't know about babies is almost laughable. Weeks after a friend of mine welcomed a grandson into the world, I asked her if the baby's eyes were opening yet. "He's a human baby, not a kitten!" she laughed, albeit pointedly.

I was travelling at a conference and went to a fancy toy store to buy a gift for this kid, and I came up with a cool, MacFarlane-esque dragon basically covered in horns and blades. A co-worker of mine, a father of two, was shopping with me, and shook his head and told me to put it back.

That's not being unable to procreate, Pink Ranger, that's lacking education in regards to those matters. I'd compare you to the mother, but she's had 9 months to learn a lot of these things, she had no excuse.

Damn, Tropico, that was kinda harsh..I don't know Pinky well but I'm pretty sure he's just being facetious.

Ha. My dad bought me Spawn comics when I was a kid. You should've gotten the boy that dragon.

It's also possible that Mommy was in danger of dropping the kid. You know, balancing the kid with one arm and drinking with the other.

Sorry if it was harsh, it wasn't meant to be. I was joking with the 1st comment, obviously. I see so many posts around here of people believing that kinda negative stuff about themselves that it's hard to tell when someone doesn't mean it. What I meant is that parenting or knowing how to deal with kids is something you learn, it's not designed into you by nature.

It's alright. Thanks to this thread, I will now stop drinking whiskey when I breastfeed.
