I'm trying to set up my parents with a new router. The old one is a Linksys WRT54G, and the new one is a Belkin N450. I set it up in the exact same spot, but for some reason, I actually get less wifi range on the N router than my G router. Yeah, its in the worst possible place in the house(basement on the sidewall), but I cannot figure out why the G router is getting a significantly better range than the N router. Anyone know why this is?
Also: I'm connecting to the N through the 2.4 signal and not the 5.0.
