What? no convo?

Interesting.

I remember six years ago everybody talked about slurpees - two years ago conspiracy folk talked about it, as it was obvious to them that our own government invented slurpees?

Now seven years down the road and it's a passing comment on the morning bake,... and no comment at all here.

I wonder why?

Ah man, the rib sandwiches you get at 7/11 are amazing, aswell as the hamburgers they used to have, aswell as the hot dogs. The slurpees are epic, and at the one near me they even sell dvds.

When I was a kid there were plenty of 7-11's. Now they're all Mapcos.

No free surplees on my birthday :csad:

I like to fill my Slurpee cup, drink down a bit and then, fill it back up.

I've probably stolen $1.13 worth of Slurpee in the last month alone. I just can't help myself. :(

Does anyone put the little marshmellows in their slurpee, cause sometimes I do. :(

The 7/11's by us always seem to attract dirt bags. There's always theese cheesy metalhead wannabe's hanging out there drinking mountain dew, eating Sno Balls, and smoking Parliaments.

I went in a few weeks ago to get a tank of propane and I swore I was on the set of Clerks.

That reminds me of when I visited the Henry Ford Museum, a friend and I went into this cafe which was full of people, we went in and bought sandwiches and we filled up our cups with soda. There was a huge line, by the time we got to the register our cups were empty and we threw them away and paid for the sandwiches only.

There are no 7-11's in Atlanta, as I discovered much to my chagrin upon moving here from Florida where 7-11's are ubiquitous.

So there are no cheap, yummy Slurpees available, although all the movie theaters here offer Slurpee-knockoffs that are triple the normal Slurpee price.

Coincidence?

OR CONSPIRACY?!? :cmad:

Conspiracy! None there, none here in Athens...our fair state is against 7-11! :cmad:

Tennessee doesn't have them either. My friends will sit around smoking and see a 7-11 ad on the television promoting some new wonderful flavor of Slurpee knowing for us it would never be....some of you just don't know how good you have it. :csad:

The only thing I have that proves that 7-11s were in Tennessee is a Dave Winfield Slurpee coin from 1985

Well, there are no 7-11s in the part of TN I live now....don't want you going to all the trouble of searching through your big box of Dave Winfield collectibles just to prove me wrong. :yay:

They're worse than Starbucks here. The one down the street sucks all kinds of balls when it comes to variety/selection.

I've been to some 7-11's but they are all located in unsafe areas. There is this eery feeling that any minute the place is about to get robbed again.

That's the only thing I have with the name Dave Winfield.

I was just saying that until the mid 80s there were 7-11s in TN

Roger that Addendum, I guess I should have said there are no 7-11s in the area of TN I have lived all my life.

And there is no shame in being a fan of Dave Winfield, embrace it.
