I was thinking the same thing. I'm not even a fan of the show and have no interest in the movie and I find that ignorant.

I'm not even trying to crack a joke, I'm being serious here....there is something mentally imbalanced within your cranium if this Sex and the City flick is causing you to lose sleep. If you're single, why do you give a ****? My theater was jam packed with women for this movie. I went to see The Strangers and basically the men poured into that theater while the women poured into the next one which was Sex and the City. lol

The hate towards this movie by some men is really over the top. Why are some men so threatened by this movie? I don't understand. Yes, the series had shallow moments, but when it was on, it was critically acclaimed with emmy nominations and everything. Much of the writing was very good. I enjoyed it because I loved seeing stories about the love and bond between female friends. Sex and The City was not about designer shoes and handbags, it was about the love and friendship between the four main characters. I'm seeing this tomorrow night with my best girlfriends and I really cannot wait. I'm not a particularly girly girl(I'm a Batman fan after all), but anything that celebrates the bond that women have with each other is great in my opinion.

By the way, this movie is killing at the box office. It'll make 70 million dollars opening weekend easy and probably will gross 200 million at the box office. Yeah, I said it. It'll be a huge blockbuster.

I just wouldn't bother... it's not like it's inherently evil like an uwe boll film but i couldn't give a **** at all in general about it

my only worry is it drowning out Krystal Skull and Iron Man's potential earnings this weekend other than that, to whoever enjoyed the film, more power to you!! i'll be giving it a skip... tried watchin the show but i just couldn't get into it at all.

I wont be seeing this but i recognize it has a following. I do like a rom com now and then but they have to have one of two things, they either have to be more com than rom like 'Knocked Up', or the female lead has to be attractive both looks and personality wise to me and the male lead has to be likable, like 'Definitely Maybe'. I don't find any of the SATC women attractive* and from the trailers it didn't seem funny to me, but for the guys and girls that dug the show i hope it delivers for ya.



* I did think Kim Catrall was hot in Big Trouble in little China.

Yea... ridicuously so.

I was working, so I had to clean the theatres after. Surprisingly we found a beer bottle, so the one straight man in the theatre must have brought it in to help keep his sanity.

The only real nudity you get is from Cynthia Nixon (Miranda) and some girls who have sex with a guy Samantha is watching. Oh and Samantha....but she is covered in sushi.

I found this part of the movie to be really tame when compared to the show.
