Sex, Virginity & Growing Up

I am in the position with my girlfriend of nearly four years where we could have sex if we wanted to (being we're devoted to each other and are comfortable with each others bodies) yet we both choose not to. What does that count for?

How exactly do two people become comfortable with each others bodies without some sort of sexual contact? I am pretty sure the situation has one of the following issues:

1) You don't actually like girls....that's cool, at least you'd know now
2) One of you isn't actually comfortable with the other's body
3) You're like Ken down there.....yea, a Ken doll......

Stick to anal sex until marriage. That way, your vag is still pure!!

I'm young as you all know and everyone around me has had sex, and has bragged about it being amazing, I'm waiting.

I can guarantee you half of them are lying and the other half cried themselves to sleep after they did it :cwink:

Well, that's a very straight-forward answer. But yes. :yay: Unless it would be seen as "cheating" aka still having sex? I don't know as I was never in this kind of situation (I'm not religious) but I do think there are more obstinate couples out there than people believe. Usually they get mocked by others with different views on sexuality (I often see online discussions on this).

I had an online friend from UK who didn't like me and another friend saying "screw" (as in "Screw them, they're idiots!" and not "screw=sex") and I saw it as a sign he was still a bit sheltered... But it never bothered me. Why would it bother me anyway? We were just brought up differently, you have to respect other people's views. He was 18 at the time, didn't believe in sex before marriage, etc.

Well said. Most of the time, it's all about image and what others think of you. Since lots of people are insecure when they're in high school/college, they don't want to stick out from the crowd in "the wrong way", aka being the "only virgin left on the block" or whatever. It's sad.

I'm glad I grew up in a small town where we didn't feel much of the pressure, if any at all. I hardly ever heard of anyone dating even, unless they were over 18.

Wow, that's actually surprising to hear. I know that many times small towns are usually where a lot of teen pregnancy is centered. Although, sounds like you didn't live in an Arkansas-style small town.

^Basically doing it just so you can say you did it.

my first time was when i was 15, she was 17..and didn't want it in the muff..so my first experience was up a girls bottom.

Basically, yeah. And doing it so they can brush it off and call it no big deal because it somehow makes them more mature :whatever:

i feel i should add something to this clearly important topic...but i probably won't...

That's true about teen pregnancy. It's even more surprising because I live in Europe and Europe's supposed to be very open about sex, right? :yay:

I think it was because we weren't that "sex crazed" and it was also over 10 years ago. Things were shockingly different 10 years ago. Today it feels like every kid wants to have sex because of some "status" or curiosity that could wait before they're mature enough... Then you have girls going on diet when they're freaking 12 and other stupid things like that. It's beyond crazy. I wish people would just enjoy their childhood as long as possible. Don't throw it away so soon.

Holy crap (no pun intended) you're lucky, I haven't yet had the courage to ask since it seems like such a one way deal...

See I thought this thread was, what people thought about children/teenagers losing the virginity early and how it could be a mainstream deal, not lets all divulge in some dudes stories of what they did and how old. Cause your not talking with experience your showing off like most people do with it.
You could mention you were 15 and having sex, it was great Let the teenager do as they will, or I wish I could of held off longer it was a mistake. No instead we divulge on a subject matter which is getting pretty disgusting.
