It's interesting that in this expansive interview she talks about Mangold's film, Kinberg's trilogy and even Waiti's script (which still only has a first act), but makes no mention of Rey's film. Makes me think that the new writer is starting from scratch, and won't be ready any time soon.

I'm fine with a delay. More distance from TROS will make it more interesting checking in again. I'm not confident the film will happen at all though, so this isn't helping with that.

I'd rather have this than Mangold's first Jedi film or whatever the hell Shawn Levi is doing, so it's kind of disappointing.

Johnson did well with Knives Out, and I wouldn't blame him one bit for walking away after the flak he got from fans. Regarding the Rey film, it's been put back so many times I suspect it will never be made, like the Nic Cage Superman film which bit the dust years ago.

Anyone know what DR and JB are up to these days, haven't heard of them for a while.

TLJ was terrible to me and hasn't gotten better since over time, if anything it's gotten worse. So Johnson walking away is fine with me.

I would happily watch a Rey movie though as Daisy wasn't the problem with the ST. I just don't see it happening.
