I go to the Avatar thread to read what people think of the trailer and quickly notice that there's 40 pages on the subject. 40! So, when I ask what the general opinion is they say that the CGI sucks. That's it? It takes 40 pages to discuss that?!:csad::o

So, Hunter Rider, I'm asking you, as a friend, can there be a section of SHH just for the loyal members? A section where we don't have to deal with 40 pages of newbies getting angry over something stupid? I've been here for 7 years. It's about time I get some special treatment! So, just create a section where people who've been here less than a year can't post. Leave them at their 40 pages of nonsense.

Can you do that, HR? I assume you're running the place these days. Drakon doesn't seem to do much anymore. And Malice only shows up to sell us software. So, who else is there?

Of course you know the details. Why would you expect anything else?

.....yeah those ****ing noobs who the **** do they think they are? :cmad:

There's an Avatar trailer???

Skippy!

clearly you think it has great CGI by that face.

Actually, I don't. :o I just don't like the idea of 40 pages (and counting) after only 12 hours. There shouldn't be more than 10 pages by this point. SHH has gotten too big. :csad:

A VIP section is something that sounds good in theory but it will never work. It be easier just to start a whole new messageboard.

Wait, what? I post every day. I constantly respond to the feedback in the Feedback thread [which, by the way, is where this should go]. I'm putting the final touches on a new forum skin, which I personally set up, did all the legwork for [haha one leg joke], ****ed out, and built the skin practically from the ground up with ComicChick, making/getting new smileys, co-starring on the Podcast three times in a month, AND doing more than my fair share of general discussion both with the posters, and with staff, going so far as to personally contact several posters to discuss disicpline [Wiseman and Ace can both personally vouch for that. Just because you don't see me in Celeb oogling Disney girls with you doesn't mean I've disappeared, it means you need to widen your view.

Here's another idea, Hunter. What if we start sending people to ComingSoon? No one posts there anymore. It's a wasteland. So, this is what you can do: create a thread that redirects people to ComingSoon. So, they'd be like, "oh, look! A thread for Chris Nolan's Inception. I saw that trailer with Inglorious Basterds." Then they click on the thread and suddenly they're at ComingSoon. And then they're like, "wait, how did I get here?" That's when you lock the door and they can't come back.

i cant stand that either. i usually just say "screw it" and go straight to the last page of a thread.

Excellent! [/Mr. Burns]

I think the CGI in the Avatar trailer looks pretty good, myself.

I'll find out in more detail tomorrow when I see the 3-D preview scenes at the special theater showing.
