So, not only was there one eliminated last week but TWO!!! That's right, double elimination hit and poor Cmill216 was the victim of the second hammer, still fresh with Squirrel guts and everything. So both Squirrel and Cmill join the other losers in the Jury House. I'd send extra prizes with them for the other evicted houseguests but we must remember one important thing - this is still Survivor, and sometimes all you get is a scrawny little Squirrel to eat, so I think I'm sending them prizes enough.
Enjoy guys, Squirrel... I hope you can run! I stopped feeding Immortal days ago!
Rules:
The Game
Hype! Survivor is a game of strategy, deception, and skill. Alliances are both permitted and encouraged. Make no allies or make many allies, it's all up to you. There are many different ways to win this game. Masterminding, forethought, and hard work are the keys to success. Laziness and ineffective play will both be exposed and punished. Although being lazy may be a strategy, not participating at all is not. If the players and hosts feel at any time that a certain player is no longer participating, they can be removed from the game without warning.
As a side note: alliances can be with any of the players. It doesn't matter who they are nor what tribe they're on, just make sure it's someone you trust...or not. Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer!
Challenges
Each installment of SHH Survivor will receive challenges marked by "Weeks". Instructions for challenges will be explained for each challenge. Some challenges may require judging, some may be trivia, some may be skill. Expect a variety for your playing pleasure. The tribe (or person) who does the best, wins immunity and is therefore safe from elimination that round.
Challenge weeks will consist of two portions: Head of Household (HoH) and Power of Veto (PoV).
There will be no permanent tribes like in normal Survivor games.
Head of Household (HoH)
Each week will begin with a Head of Household challenge. This is a challenge for all the players to determine who will become that week's Head of Household. These challenges may vary from individual challenges or team challenges. In the case of a team Head of Household challenge, new teams will be established prior to the challenge. If a team wins a Head of Household challenge, they will choose amongst themselves who will be the next Head of Household. If a decision cannot be unanimously made then a method of the hosts' choosing will be utilized to determine who wins the honor. An HoH winner cannot participate in the following HoH challenge save for when it reaches the final 3.
The Head of Household is safe from eviction for that week and gets to select 2 nominees for eviction. The Head of Household, however, only votes during the Eviction Ceremony in the event of a tie.
Power of Veto (PoV)
Once two nominations are chosen for Eviction, the Power of Veto portion of the week begins. The Head of Household and the 2 nominees each choose 1 player to participate in the Power of Veto challenge. ONLY THE HOH, THE 2 NOMINEES, AND THE 3 SELECTED PLAYERS PARTICIPATE IN THIS CHALLENGE!
The winner of this challenge wins the Powder of Veto. The Veto Ceremony will be held later in the week in which the owner of the Power of Veto has the option to remove one of the two nominees from the block. They can also choose to not use the Veto power at all. If the Veto winner does remove one of the 2 nominees, it falls to the Head of Household to put up a new nominee in their place. They cannot nominate the Power of Veto winner or the nominee that was rescued from the block.
Eviction
During each Week of Survivor, players will be eliminated during the Eviction Ceremony. All players save the Head of Household and the two Nominees must vote off one of the two nominees via PM titled Eviction. Player with the majority of votes is eliminated. In the case of a tie at Eviction, the Head of Household determines which player is eliminated.
In order to have your votes counted, please send them to both JewishHobbit and Spider-Fan. Please do NOT send your votes in to any other name. You will only have one chance to vote. There will be no changing your vote once your vote is cast. Vote carefully!
If a person does not vote 3 times within the game they will be eliminated from the game, no matter how active they may be. We are lenient hosts, however, so if there is a pressing reason as to why you cant vote, let us know and we may wave the penalty. Dont hold your breath, but its possible.
Rewards
In addition to Head of Household and Power of Veto, challenges will offer individual rewards on occasion. In the case of a team Head of Household challenge, each player on that team will receive a reward. These can range in ability, but Head of Household will ALWAYS count as 1 reward in this case, so a player may not be awarded Head of Household AND win a reward in a team Head of Household challenge. Which player gets what reward is to be determined by the team, and if they are unable to come to an agreement in a 24 hour period, then rewards will be awarded at random. Each member of that team must also confirm which player gets what by sending a list of which team member gets which reward. We can't take the word of 1 player over another.
Jury
The final Jury will be composed of seven people (everyone voted off from the remaining nine players who didn't make the finals). The Jury will then vote FOR WHO THEY THINK SHOULD WIN of the final two remaining players so we can crown the winner of the Hype! Survivor.
Cheating
A note on cheating: It's very easy to cheat in this game. Very, very easy. Some of the rounds will be much more difficult to cheat at than others (some will be downright impossible to cheat on). Regardless, hosts have ways of catching you and sometimes will even set up traps for you. If you feel you have to cheat, by all means, go ahead. But, if you're caught, you WILL be penalized. Again, specific rules of what's legal or not will be in each challenge PM.
One thing that is certainly NOT lawful under any circumstances is sharing screen names. Hosts have the ability to check IPs, and if you are caught sharing screen names then a severe penalty will be handed out. Please be mindful of only using your OWN screen name for this game.
Moderators/Administrators
It is the belief of various players that a moderator or an administrator should not be allowed to participate in a Survivor because they have an advantage over all other players. I don't share this belief, but I do believe these powers need regulated. So I warn ALL players in advance, if a mod player abuses their power for Survivor gain at the expense of another player, they will be punished and the punishment will be final.
Example scenario:
Moderator A sees Player X pming Player Y in his profile page and proceeds to tell all his allies that they were in correspondence. Now, I know mods can't shut off the ability to see things like this, but using this knowledge in such a way that compromises another player's strategy, such as telling everyone else about what he saw on the profile page as opposed to keeping it to themselves, is in violation of the rules and could result in the offending player being removed from the game outright. We are lenient hosts, but if you cheat in this way, expect a harsh punishment. No vote or challenge involved.
This may seem unfair to the moderator or administrator players, but the fact is you have a distinct advantage over the other players. This is to level the playing field a bit.
Misc.
Whilst these rules are set as the guidelines for this game, each challenge will set the rules for that specific day. What may be cheating one day may not be another day. Reading is fundamental. Make sure you familiarize yourself with this information and those in the challenges as well. Please note that at times an announcement might be needed to amend the existing rules of this game, or the rules in the challenge. Please look for these and note them. Each 'week' is marked by a new challenge.

So... you're the final 3 huh? Matt, Kal, Hunter? I've seen better. Don't worry, I've seen worse too. I heard that in a movie once I think, don't remember where from, but I'm picturing Christopher Lambert saying it for some reason. Anyhow, so now you three enter the final battles to prove which of the 3 of you deserve the title of Hype Survivor Champion! Matt's going for his second win. Kal's going for his second win in a row (a rare feat), and Hunter... I don't recall if he's ever won so he's just going for it.
Well, best of luck to the three of you. We have three challenges set up for you this week, the first of which will include you all. Whoever loses that challenge will play each other in the second challenge, and the winners of those two challenges will play each other in the final challenge for the HoH position. The HoH winner will then pick who they wish to take with them into the final 2 for the chance to win the whole enchilada!
But before that, our lovely Julie Chen had the oppertunity to sit down with our two evictees to discuss their experiences. Let's see what they had to say.
"Hello boys, let's start with Squirrel. You have played a long game and came so close. How does it feel to come so close to the finals and still not quite make it?"
Squirrel - It's frustrating for sure, but I've accepted it and moved on. The final five is not a bad place to be at all.
"Fair enough. So what do you feel is the best move that you made in this game? How about the worst?"
Squirrel - The best move I made this game was getting a friend to pick the football games for me and there by allowing me to somehow win. The worst move I made was leaving my computer during this last challenge and missing a 10 minute block.
"Is there anyone in this game who surprised you?"
Squirrel - Not really. But I was shocked that Comic Chick got booted out first.
"Is there anyone that you feel is to blame for your eviction in this game?"
Squirrel - Honestly, just myself. I messed up myself on that last challenge. I knew there was a chance of me getting kicked out going into it.
"As a Juror, what are you looking for in a winner of the game? Do you have any preconceived plans of who you will be voting for?"
Squirrel - A deposit in my bank account would go a long way to securing my vote.
"Besides your own, were there any previous evictions from the game that you would like to have gone differently?"
Squirrel - Not really.
"What was your favorite challenge this season and why?"
Squirrel - Considering I missed so many due to my job, I can't really recall much. I did end up liking the Lantern Corp challenge more than I thought I would though.
"You have quite a few Survivors under your belt now and congradulations for making it the furthest this game than ever before. You say that you are happy with your placing but, if you plan on returning in future games, what do you plan to do to advance yourself further? Are there any strategies in this game that you think should have been played differently?"
Squirrel - I just need to be in it to win it. I dropped the ball on these last few challenges and POV rounds. I just need to kick it into high gear for whatever the next game I play will be.
"Then I wish you luck in that Squirrel, but until then, great job in this game and good luck with your Jury vote."
"And now, on to the fourth place contestant - Cmill. Cmill, you have played long game and came so close. How does it feel to come so close to the finals and still not quite make it?"
Cmill - It's painful. Getting eliminated early isn't fun, sure. But to get so close and not have the opportunity to finish the job, it stings. I'm happy that I was able to stick around for the long haul, but not coming away with the win is a tough pill to swallow.
"What do you feel is the best move that you made in this game? How about the worst?"
Cmill - I made a pretty risky move in the last game that backfired, ingenious as it may have been. I tried to lay a bit low this game, and in many ways it worked. My biggest mistake was simply not finishing the job. To come so close to winning both the HoH and the PoV in that last challenge makes you sick.
"Is there anyone in this game who surprised you?"
Cmill - Matt made a hell of a run in those final two challenges. I was able to dominate both Hunter and Kal, but Matt just wouldn't go away. He's a veteran, so it's not surprising. But the way he stepped up so big in the end was pretty remarkable. I owe him one.
"Is there anyone that you feel is to blame for your eviction in this game?"
Cmill - Not really. I blame myself. I was in a perfect position. All I had to do was win one of those challenges, and I came up short. So if I have to blame anyone, I blame Matt for playing well.
"As a Juror, what are you looking for in a winner of the game? Do you have any preconceived plans of who you will be voting for?"
Cmill - I really don't care how you got there or how many challenges you won. It's about how you perform when it matters most. Hunter has been brilliant throughout the game, and Matt is as clutch as they come. I just want to see someone take the whole thing by the throat. Show me you want it.
"Besides your own, were there any previous evictions from the game that you would like to have gone differently?"
Cmill - Not particularly.
"What was your favorite challenge this season and why?"
Cmill - The YouTube scavenger hunt was a blast. The judging was debatable, but it was pretty fun to see what people came up with.
"Now that you are removed from the game, is there anything about the game or any of the current or past players that you'd like to get off your chest?"
Cmill - I'd like to see more gamesmanship, yes. Playing it safe doesn't normally benefit you in the end. When you have an opportunity to take out an elite player, you take your shot. Idealism shouldn't get in the way of logic.
"From the outside looking in you seemed pretty like a pretty quiet player, almost to the extent of not even playing at times, yet you voted every week and participated in quiet a few challenges in which you had to play. Was this a strategy or did other things come up?"
Cmill - Definitely a strategy. Last time around, I took a big risk that didn't pay off, so I tried to step back and let things play out. And in many ways, it worked. I would never go into a game like this without an overarching plan. The game went pretty much exactly how I wanted it to. But again, I just didn't finish the job. But that's what next Survivor is for....
And as with Squirrel, I wish you the best of luck with that. Thank you gentlemen, good luck in one week when the Jury cast their vote to decide who of the final two is worthy of being named Hype Survivor 30: Big Brother Champion!
