"TRANSFORMERS" STAR SHIA LABEOUF AND DIRECTOR MICHAEL BAY TO SERVE AS GUEST JUDGES "ON THE LOT"

TUESDAY, JUNE 5, ON FOX

Moviemaking competition series ON THE LOT will air its weekly "Film Premiere" episode this Tuesday June 5 8/7c on FOX, with "Transformers" star Shia LaBeouf ("Disturbia," "Surf's Up") and director Michael Bay ("Armageddon," "Bad Boys") serving as guest judges along with regulars Carrie Fisher and Garry Marshall.

The remaining 15 director finalists have been divided into three groups of five, and the first group - Sam Friedlander, Hilary Graham, Trever James, Shalini Kantayya and Adam Stein - will premiere their personal submission films and receive the judges' critiques. Viewers will vote for their favorite films after the show.

ON THE LOT is produced by Mark Burnett Productions, DreamWorks Television and Amblin Television. Mark Burnett and Steven Spielberg are creators and executive producers. David Goffin serves as executive producer with Darryl Frank, Justin Falvey and Conrad Riggs co-executive producers.

Cool.

I knew this was going to happen- so far all of the guest judges have worked with Spielburg in the past. So, I knew they would get Bay on there due to that and to promote Transformers. Thought it would be closer to the film's release, but- should be interesting.

And also this week on some channel, forgot the name- Digital Cable, the show "The Directors" features Michael Bay, which should also have some Transformers material. That starts tonight here in NY.

I wonder how many people in the audience want to go down and punch him?

And that first film's director must have known he was coming. It was pure Bay.

He's the toughest judge there tonight. He looks like a hardass, maybe its just me?

No, he is being tough on them. But, I agree with his criticisms thus far. He's actually telling them the exact points that he thinks can be improved upon and worked on.

Only question- where is Shia?

So far from what im getting of his comments is he's telling them to make a Bay movie. The other judges i find know better, specialy Gary Marshall(sp?).

He's kind of like Simon Powell...

The first film did seem like it could have been cut down because it went on too long.

A couple of shots in the second one were somewhat awkward and basic. More visualization could give you a better sense of 'nightmare' type surrounding.

I thought the Finkelsteins was funny, but way too repeated- saw that plot about a million times now.

The film playing now- they have to bring up lip synching!

The one Michael Bay just gave praise to (Adam's movie) was my favorite so far as well... really reminded me of that Beauty and the Beast musical scene with Belle in town.

Yeah, I agree with Tempest's first post here, where in carnage IS Shia? O_o I didn't see him either.

Yep, every comment has been, "I like the story, I like the directing, but you need a style."

I thought imdb would be harsh on Bay- they were really going crazy over Ratner. They didn't like him as judge. Not surprisingly, to me- and at least Alex- they liked Bay as a judge, even though they don't seem to have liked any of his films... He's harsh as hell, like a Simon Powell, doesn't hold any bars back- just says what is on his mind straight up.

Oh, lol- don't really watch American Idol, knew it sound similar to what I spelled though.

I had to turn it off less than halfway through. Michael Bay is literally the dumbest filmmaker I have ever seen. I kept waiting for him to say something intelligent and meaningful..... s**t I thought Brett Ratner had more to say.

I found the host to be more annoying, though it was kinda annoying seeing Bay look so serious and "posing" all the time for the camera. Not really the best publicity TF needed right now.
