In talking with international press today in Second Life, Frank Miller said that he talked to Robert Rodriguez yesterday about Sin City 2. They hope to be prepping the sequel in the next six weeks for shooting to start in June.

If she's in the movie, she will have to film it in either June or July.....they aren't going to wait for her to finish promoting all of her other movies....

On the Sin City extended edition they said Ruger Hauer filmed his scenes 8 months after everyone else did. Since she has a main part shes gonna need more time.

Awesome!! I'm so glad news about the film is beginning to start. I almost went nuts in the months we had nothing (November, December, most of January).

Frank Miller (writer of the Sin City graphic novel), told SCI Fi Wire that Sin City 2 is ready for production! He hopes to be shooting the sequel by late spring with Robert Rodriguez.

"The script is largely done, and now we're in that limbo zone where we're casting and making script adjustments as we go,"

The sequel will be based on “A Dame to Kill for,” the second Sin City tale and a prequel to The Hard Goodbye, which was the basis of one of the first film's storylines. The sequel promises to bring back "a couple of old stories and one brand-new one," Miller said.

"The old ones are a couple of 'Blue Eyes' stories, and there's an 'Old Town Girls' story, and the new one features Nancy Callahan [played by Jessica Alba] in a very different, very scary role. I'm hoping we'll start in late spring. It gets pretty hot in Austin, so there might be a summer's interruption there, but both Robert and I really want to be shooting this thing as soon as possible," said Miller.

how can they start filming this in June with no cast???

i take that back. they have Clive Owen, Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke, Michael Clarke Duncan, and Rosario Dawson. i guess they don't need to make casting announcements for them. and with those actors playing the characters they are, they could shoot a whole lot of this film before the un-cast parts come up. especially considering how Elijah Wood didn't meet Mickey Rourke until the premiere.

"The Jetsons" is still a vague possibility, while Sin City 2 is in pre-production. Remember that Rodriguez showed a trailer for it to Carnahan.
