The Avatars are definately very "Wii-ish". For me that is rarely a good thing, but you know what?
**** it. I'm a sucker for customizable things in games.
I think thats the objective that MS is going for. Their E3 conference made it apparent that they are aiming at appealing to the Wii userbaseNot sure what to make of the avatars. They seem too "Wii-ish" to me. Who knows tho, maybe theyll be fun to customize.
I'm not sure what to make of these...they do seem "Wii-ish." I don't see how Microsoft couldn't have done something a little different with their avatars, to seperate them from their Wii counterparts.
It would be nice if they could be fully customizable with outfits from Xbox exclusive games. Like a Master Chief armour for your avvy, or a Gears outfit..stuff like that.
These should be called "Mii toos".

^Precisely. Unfortunately you've really been able to see Nintendo's influence in the industry over the last year or so. "Hardcore" games aren't dead, and I don't think they will fully die out, but it seems challenging games that provide true innovation are becoming too few and far between these days. And I think it will only get worse as time goes on. (At least until "casual" gamers get a taste for big boy games. )
The more success Nintendo has, the worse off enthusiast gamers will be.
