This is a pet peave of mine. I feel strongly that once you've played a superhero, you shouldn't play another. Likewise for villians. Basicly, once you've been a major charcter in a comic movie, you shouldn't play someone else in another coimc movie. Especially in the same universe. Now I will let Ron Perlman get away with it, but oonly because there is so much make-up on him in Hellboy. But that's it. Your thought, folks??

I think they should, but to a certain extent. Like I don't want Christian Bale playing every other superhero out there, but I wouldn't mind seeing him do something other than Batman... Same goes for most of the other stars, some I would LOVE to see play other characters and some I think should just hang up the cape and stick to regular films.

It all depends on who the actor is and what parts he/she is playing.

I wouldn't mind if someone played a superhero AND a supervillain, but not multiple heroes or multiple villains. Also, I'd prefer it if the hero and the villain that the person plays is from different comic companies (i.e. one from DC and one from Marvel).

I think most actors wouldnt want to do more than one superhero/villain. They would want to have a bigger range of roles or something. At least the "A-listers" (hate those terms) that everyone suggests because they think they all must be casted or else would want more range

I personally dont care. If someone is willing might as well let him/her

As long as its not in the same universe I have absolutely ZERO problem with this.

I'm against the same actor playing two major comic book characters, but only within a certain time frame. For example, I'm all for Linda Carter (who hasn't been Wonder Woman since the 70s) playing Wonder Woman's mom or one of her parent-Goddesses.

However, if it's too recent, no. I was against Halle Berry playing both Storm and Catwoman. Nicholas Cage is no longer allowed to play any other superhero, though I'm sure he'll still try. Hell, I have to find a new actor in my dream Green Arrow movie, since my first and only choice used to be Aaron Eckhart.

Ture, but that is for reasons other than my little rule.

And also, Donal Logue is no longer allowed to play sidekicks to heroes or villians. Marvel needs to find someone else to kill off.

Ryan Reynolds is playing Deadpool, but I would be more than happy for him to still play the Flash, so the answer is obviously yes for me.

i'm fine with it as long as they are in different universes

yes let them play more than one super

I don't think its a big deal if they are playin multiple characters. I don't even think people noticed that Ben Foster was the whinny kid with all the peircings in the Punisher and then he was Angel in X-3. He looked completely different. He was also in 30 Days of Night.

Michael Clarke Duncan was in SinCity and Dare Devil. No one noticed but they are different universes. Same as Morgan Freeman in Wanted and Batman Begins, as well as TDK.

See if you can play different roles I don't see how it would be a problem unless their is interaction.

Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool and Kane from Blade Trinity.

What I am saying is as long as the characters aren't similar and its not a huge role then it shouldn't be a problem. But I even think if the characters are so different and look so different then no one should have a problem with it. Unless its DC crossing to Marvel or vice versa...then the war begins! Just kidding.

On a smaller scale, and just for fun, Jon Favreau was an executive for Bruce Wayne (Batman Forever) and some sort of a bodyguard for Tony Stark (Iron Man).

And he was in Daredevil as a friend of Matt Murdock.

supporting cast is different
cameos, and side roles don't brother me as much

but, once they played a main hero or a villain in one comic book movie, there is a limit to how many supporting roles I'd want to see them in, in other comic roles, and, I wouldn't want to see them as another main hero or villain, in any other comic movie, (even if in a different universes, DC/Marvel...) of course there are always exception, it all depends

but, that’s just me
