Should Batman have been able to beat Captain America?

Why are you bothering to reply to a post from nearly three years ago from a guy who is a banned user...

It makes it that much easier to win the arguement.

Captain America is a moron on steroids. Batman is a planner, a strategist. He's got brains, money, gadgets. He's got a batpod, a fcking batmobile ! He beating captain america is justified.

 

If it's just a random fight I say Cap wins 8 out of 10. Batman's odds increase based on how much time he has to prepare. But even then Captain America would have a good shot at beating him. Then it ends like all superhero fights end, they stop fighting side with each other and beat the villain. Which would be awesome.

 

Wasn't it like this?
In the Batman/Captain America one where they end up fightning Joker and Red Skull... Also this very issue where Joker says he is a proud american and thus stops helping Red Skull, in this comic Captain won but Batman just whines and says "you had more prep time!"

Then in the Latest Avengers + JL issue Cap lost to Batman ina fight but he took command of JL + Avengers in the end.

 

Sigh.....You know, we purged the fight threads from the comics forums for a reason. It attracts ants.

 

Cap and Bat didn't fight in the JLA/Avengers. Bat's just said it's possible Cap could beat him and they teamed up.

Yes.

 

Cap getting beaten by getting washed away by some water? That was absolutely ridiculous.

I think that if they were in a dark city setting Bats could likely pull off a win via ambush, but in a direct confrontation my money's on cap for a good majority.

Seriously. I think they move threads here just to kill them. And yes, Cap would win. He's a better fighter. Period.
