I've just finished reading Superman: Wrath of Gog and there is a scene where Clark is riding the monorail and I was wondering should Clark drive or take public transportation in the next movie or should he just fly from point A to point B?

Both sides of the coin have good things about them:

If he did take public transportation or drive it would be interesting to see how he would suit up when trouble starts like right there and then on the monorail in Wrath of Gog or on the road while he's driving with Lois.

If he doesn't take public transportation or drive I'd like to see other people ask him for a ride and see him find an excuse as to why he can't do that.

All decent law-enforcement people know there's only one way to get around a big city!

Given that he's a journalist who probably travels a fair bit he would probably need a car, or people would start asking too many questions.

peewees big adventure....nuff said

Would he drive a hybrid?

We're really reaching for thread topics.

I was trying to be nice.

Does that mean I shouldn't start that discussion about which aftershave Clark should use?

i was gone start one on wat kind of draws he wears

Worse. Topic. Ever.

I've see a lot worse.

Clark needs to take public transportation. If he needs to turn into Superman and fly off.....it's easier to leave a bus, cab, or subway without bringing attention to himself....if he's driving his own car when he suddenly hears or sees he needs to change, he has to first deal with the car.

yea would be curious to see what they would do with public transporation.

I'm all for public transportation use, BUT he should drive a car in some point. I'd like to see a action scene where his driving and get's attacked or something. And the car would explode and it would just sort of wrap off him like tin foil and he would emerge from the fire with his clothes burning, revealing his Superman costume underneath. And he would be pissed. That would be cool... heh.

i just found it weird seeing Clark riding the monorail in Wrath of Gog when he could have just flown to wherever he wanted to go. so it just got me thinking, should Clark change into Superman and fly everywhere even when he doesn't need to arrive at the destination like home as Superman? would it be too weird to see him drive or take public transportation, wouldn't people be always saying 'why didn't he just fly'? but if he did take public transportation and it gets hijacked how would he change into Superman? would he deliberately get himself thrown out a window like in Wrath of Gog or would he subtly use his powers as Clark even with everyone around him?

The desire for new Superman news of any kind can easily be summed up by this thread

I kind of thought this was a parody of all the "What do you think" threads. It's for real?

No. Why call attention to himself when there's no one needing saving?

Lol at the idea of Superman on a bus.

I don't know but I'd like to see how a director would handle this situation. I think he'd just have to try to manage the situation as well as he could as Clark and wait until an appropriate moment to change into Superman.

yes, i made this thread topic in all seriousness. if he doesn't drive or never take public transportation that means he always changes into superman to go everywhere even home or over to the Kent farm? if he did take a taxi and was sharing it with Lois and he sees someone about to get hit by a car something that only Superman can prevent, what would Clark do, how would he save the day as Superman? would one situation like that make up his mind to not take public transportation or drive ever because who knows if something might happen?

I think you are over thinking it. If its in the comics, sure, but I prefer the movie not wory about "what would he do if" situations, unless they are important to the story.

Little things like fleshing out how things work, and what he does with things like his cotume, or how he travels from smallville to metropolis etc.. are good for the comics. In a movie its best to use whatever looks better in the scene.
