Should cyclop's death be retconned?

I say no. Seeing as how his death is never shown, it can set up a cool return for him in x4. Ever wonder why jean grey was knocked out when they found her?

Yes! Yes! Yes! I think they should fall back upon the "No body=No death rule" and bring him back with a more central role in the team.

as far as I know there is no x4 sequel in the works, they seem to be going a ahead with prequels, instead

which, I guess, will feature Cyclops, but, a young version, not a back from the dead (James Marsden) version

but, for the sake of the topic, an though, I am defending the killing of his character, but, at the same time, I really don't like retconning, especially when it comes to bring characters back from the dead...

They should've killed him in the first movie since he was pretty much the most worthless x-man. I would've preferred that than what they actually portrayed him as in the movies

I thought killing Cyclops was a bad idea. However, he was practically non-existent in the first two movies they might as well have. They barely even mourned his death and he was supposedly the leader of the team. He was pretty much treated like a glorified extra.

I don't think there is ever going to be an opportunity to have a retcon but if the series ever moves past The Last Stand then they should definitely retcon Cyclops' death.
