Should the DCEU build slowly towards a Justice League film as far as either rebooting Justice League altogether by building up towards this shared universe concept like they are now after the success of Aquaman by focusing only on solo films for heroes before teaming them up in an ensemble like Marvel did by focusing on solos before teaming them up for The Avengers? Or simply just have a Justice League sequel instead of a reboot?

With Batman he's back on the table but Superman will probably be on the table sooner or later

they probably will, but Superman probably won't be on the team.

No. Eventually they can start looking at it again, but right now their focus needs to be on getting these individual heroes right and their house back in order. Don't worry about how to connect them.

You can't have a teamup movie without it's star players, two of them are yet to be established.

Which is why I'm saying they should obviously build towards a JL slowly I think that's what I have been saying which is what DC is doing now by doing stand alone films and Batman is already slated to happen but Superman doesn't really need another film...he is like The Hulk of the DCEU he doesn't need another film much like how Banner didn't need another film after 2008

jl2 will have their star players, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and Shazam.

Honestly I feel at this moment in time WB should focus on creating decent flicks for both Superman and Batman before they think about doing a new Justice League movie. Also we need a Flash movie.

They have to think about the future. That’s why they should cast a guy like Armie as Batman. He’d fit in perfectly with the rest of the League. He wouldn’t be dwarfed by them or look significantly younger than them.

I always saw Batman as one of the oldest Leaguers. That’s why you shouldn’t cast a guy in his 20s for this.

Justice League should 100% be on everyone’s minds, but they’re going to have to earn it.

I was down for a sequel until Ben Affleck left. Now I think it might be better to hold off on Justice League entirely. Any new JL film soon would have an odd mix of new and old cast, with questionable continuities (looking especially at the Batman film).

While I’d love to see new versions of Batman and Superman (and Flash) join Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, and Zachary Levi, I think it might be better just to do a Justice League set in its own continuity. Audiences are already familiar with Batman and Superman, and now they’ll be familiar with Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Shazam. I’d just want someone to not be weird with them, but just adapt them faithfully (in order words, no odd elseworld takes on them).

A real Flash movie. Not some big teamup meant to soft reboot the universe.

Considering there's no Superman now and the new Batman won't be connected to this universe, could be kind of difficult.

Maybe a cross-over type with Aquaman and Wonder Woman, but no JL

I think we'll see a sequel with several new team members. Superman and Batman will be replaced at the very least.

Yes.

Slowly build it all back. A couple of Aquaman films, give us a Flash film, another Superman solo, Green Lantern Corps, and a Batman solo to go along with WW84.

6 years from now, JLA.

If you mean new actors, sure. If you mean having the characters Superman and Batman replaced by other heroes, I can't see it. Or rather, I can see it for Superman easily enough, but not Batman. The collapse of the Affleck Batman doesn't change that he is viewed as their biggest most important character. WB won't do a JL movie without Batman.

A Justice League movie without Batman and Superman would be unacceptable

I would be down for a Justice League International movie but that’s not the same thing

Justice League is like DCs Avengers so of course I wanna see it again but built up properly this time

Pre-2012 me, would have laughed at that statement. If anything, it really should have been the Avengers is like Marvel's Justice League.

But you know I'm right though The JL is basically not in so many words DC's version of The Avengers...so of course if we get another JL film I would rather it be a reboot; just ignore the events that happened from the failure that was the original JL and make that canon

Actually, I'd say that Superman is a more important cog in the Justice League machine across all media, but the most recent cinematic successes have been Aquaman and Wonder Woman. It wouldn't surprise me at all if WB pushes forward with a team-up that focuses on them and, if early reactions are any indicator, Shazam. While the idea of a Supes/Bats-less JL doesn't sit right with me either as a veteran comic book reader, modern casual moviegoers don't seem to be nearly as locked in to a particular line-up as we are.

agreed!

Regardless of whether you are right about how viewers would actually respond, that ultimately isn't what matters. Its the attitudes and beliefs of the execs in charge of making the movie. They are the ones I don't believe for a second would pass up using Batman, or that believe Batman is much more important and marketable than Superman.
