Do you think DC/WB should try to make a new tv series? Smallville recently came to an end, which lasted 10 seasons and was pretty popular show. Wonder Woman doesn't look like it'll get picked up. What characters do you think work best for the small-screen?

The first character I think that would work really well for a TV series is The Question. I think it could be a great crime mystery/drama/action show. Another possible character is Nightwing. Base it off Chuck Dixon's "A Knight In Bludhaven." They could do flashbacks of him as Robin in later episodes too. I think it could work well. Green Arrow would work too, but I think the next time we will see him is probably on the big screen if the JL movie ever happens. Wouldn't mind seeing Justin Hartley have his own spin-off, but I don't see that happening. This one might sound odd, but a Lobo show could be interesting. They could give it an 80's era feel to the show, that's always how I remember Lobo's look/vibe. I think it could turn out pretty funny. It'd probably feel like a live action Metalcolypse show, which would be awesome. Put it on Spike or a channel like that. Might work better as an animated show/movie, though.

Any characters you guys think would work better on TV than the big screen?

I'm not so sure if he would work better on TV than in film, but I would definitely watch a Green Arrow TV show.

Check out my other thread about Elongated Man, plase. :)

Ya. Even though WW didnt get picked up I think they shoudl still try in the future and actually give the show to someone who knows how to do superheros and WW. But they have plenty of other characters who would make for good tv.

Yes, I think they should. And unlike most, I actually liked BOP(though it was a bit campy), so I think it should be in that sort of tone but with costumes. Im sick of the heroes only being in street gear.

I wouldn't mind seeing DC take another crack at TV, provided they get someone involved who'll actually know what to do with whatever character(s) it revolves around.

And much as I hate it belabor the point, I still believe that any such show's chances of actually getting greenlighted and scheduled are predicated on however Bat-centric or Super-centric it is, no matter what the embargo or lawsuit.

The Question with Misha Collins as Vic Sage / The Question.

WB should start a Batman show with a live action version of "Year One" and then do a lot of stories out of "Gotham Central", but keep Batman as a main character just share the spot light a lot.

They should give Green Arrow a try.

Wonder Woman not getting picked up was for the best. It was clearly a rushed job and would've just been a disaster.

But, short answer: Yes. DC has tons of potential in the TV landscape. And not just DC. Vertigo too...

Hellblazer- A BBC/HBO co-production would be brilliant.
Sandman- Neil Gaiman has said it's still in the works. God willing, it ends up on HBO. I'd like it if Kripke was still involved, too. He's done fantastic work on Supernatural.
Gotham Central- Whoever's in charge needs to take the Bat-embargo and shove it up someone's ass. If the new guy at the head of The CW does really mean to make a change, it could be a great show for them. But Fox or any other network would be fine too.
Teen Titans- This seems more The CW's style. Have Johns involved with the writing and it could be gold.
Suicide Squad (or Task Force X)- Seriously, how would this not make for a perfect series?

Gotham Central on The CW? Is that a joke? Thank goodness for the Bat embargo.

Teen Titans on CW I could see though, but I'm certain they'll lack the budget to do it decently.

I think if GL bombs, they should focus on the possibility of a Flash TV series....because the movie will head to development hell.

New person in charge, since the old boss quit (thank God). God willing, he means buisness.

I don't care about embargoes or how good or bad the CW is.

An ongoing Batman television that has the "realism" of Year One and Gotham Central, if well made, would be great.

Graysons TV Show

The Dick Grayson in my version would be a 15 year old teen attending High School just like any other teen would. The only difference is, that most of the week, he also patrols the streets as Robin The Boy Wonder. Bruce Wayne would be in the show, but to a minimum as the Batman. I want him to teach and train Dick in a fierce way and to teach him all the things he was taught when he went into exile after his parents were murdered.

The show doesn’t have to focus on his life as the Boy Wonder. Instead they could show the things a hero like him has to struggle with, after the mask comes off. Dick would struggle in school, because he’s sleep deprived. He has to hide wounds which were endured while patrolling.

They could even go the cheesy way and introduce a beautiful feminine villainess which also turns out to be a class mate of Dick Grayson.

The show could explore his relationship with Alfred, Bruce and maybe some other heroes. It could start off slow and then as the seasons would progress his relationship with Bruce would harden and eventually they could introduce Nightwing.

What do you guys think of the concept?

A Robin: The Boy Wonder show will be interesting.

But an actual teenager should play the part, for once

I think right now Green Arrow is the likely to possibly become a actual TV show. With Smallville in recent memory. WW sure is in trouble. :(

I'd love to see something Batman related....but then there is the whole "Bat Embargo" thingy.

I'd like DC to have any new TV show really, as long as its good and involves superheroes I'm in.

I'm telling y'all, Batman is the one. After the next movie, put Batman on TV and let some other DC heroes have their turn at the cinema. That's how you reboot the franchise again. I still believe that primetime TV is the next frontier for comic book superheroes to conquer, and Batman is the A-list hero that works best for TV.

I think that both the Question and a show focusing on Dick Grayson are great choices but a tv version of Batman loosely based on the Nolan movies is what I'd most like to see.
