Should He-man be allowed to kill?

Even the most virtous characters like Zorro, John Carter, Flash Gordon, Luke Skywalker, Captain Kirk, and Captain America have made a kill or two. I don't see why a sword-wielding warrior like He-Man shouldn't.

Besides, wouldn't He-Man be killing all kinds of bests and monsters in the movie, not human people?

Only if he can get a decent pair of pants out of the deal.

Hey, that should be a good enough reason to start a fight in Eternia.

—Check out this dude's furry shorts, man -- haha

You know that **** has to be uncomfortable. Running around, sweating to high hell, while trying to save Teela's flighty self from certain death, bailing the Sorceress out (because for all her supposed magic and power, she can't defend a flippin' castle by herself), pulling Orko's goofy Trollan hide out of the fire, laying the smack down on Beastman. Then, he has to ride around on that hard ass saddle on Battle Cat. It never ends and He-Man never asks for anything.

He's the planet's friggin' savior! He deserves better.

Why does everyone ask this question? Why does the younger generation have an obsession with murder?

Should Batman kill? Should Captain America kill? Should Optimus Prime kill? Now He-Man?

Why has the value of life dropped?

He-Man didn't kill in my day and he shouldn't now. He should do everything in his power not to kill. He should not by omission of action let someone die.

Heroes don't kill.

Back in MY day, we had to walk 37 miles. In the snow. With NO SHOES, to watch our He-Man. These youngsters and their cell phones, and their plasma screens and their, Gogurt!

I also frequent the He-man.org forum and I started this debate. The reason I ask is this only my opinion now. As much as I loved He-man and I prefer the 2002 version now. I think many younger audiences might find it hard to believe a man carries a massive sword and neither injures or kills anyone with it. Now I could be wrong but I wanted to ask as many forums outside of He-man.org and people who aren't hardcore fans their views.

He should at least chop off a couple limbs. It depends on how the violence is depicted on screen . I 'm not saying he should kill for the sake of it but if he is defending himself from imminent death then I would find it necessary.

He has a sword, not a wiffle bat. So yes, he'd better kill some dudes.

Besides TMNT, I am also a hardcore MOTU fan. I do think that He-Man should preserve life at all costs, but if you want a more realistic film, then he has to kill something. He's a super-powered barbarian who lives in a savage world of monsters ,robots, wizards, and aliens.

One of my pet peeves has always been characters who carry lethal weapons but cannot use them. The only reason why we never saw He-Man or the Ninja Turtles chop stuff up is because the network censors would never have allowed it. In a movie theater though, it's a whole other ball game.

Aragorn killed in Lord of the Rings and that makes him no less a hero than He-Man.

Yea it definitely doesnt make sense

How many warrior heroes in real life have had "no kill" policies, anyway? If anyone can think of one, I'd certainly be curious to know who!

It really isn't a question of should he kill, because in all likelihood, he will kill. Best to start your b***hing right now if you're against it.
