Well LOL, superman's a proud pappa now. (told ya so) What's your view on the possibility of Jason becoming superman's very own boy wonder?

Vote away.

Eh no. Like the kid ( he's cute !) but nope. Supes doesn't need a sidekick. It's all cool that he's a daddy but yeah , my version of a sequel would have him killed tough.

And not because i hate him or anything , it's just that i would want to see just how a being like superman would deal with such issues. The stuff that batman has endured , how would supes deal with it.

NO!! He doesn't need a sidekick. I don't like the idea of him having a kid. The only thing I liked about the kid is that he wasn't affected by the Kryptonite.

No. HELL No. They should either kill the kid or fake like he never was in the last movie. Putting him up for adoption is a possiblity too.

Well come on. They seriously won't just kill him or drop him out of the continuity. XD That's just silly talk.

I'm eager to learn how Superboy handles his powers and if he will join superman in the quest for peace.

Anything's possible...

I really hope they keep Jason as much of a background character as possible...

Have him go into hiding from Lex Luthor or something... whatever... as long as he doesn't don a suit and start saving the world.

Ugh... Can anyone say "tacky"? :(

That said, I do like where the presence of Jason could take Superman as a character. That moment in the bedroom was the most genuine and emotional I've ever seen him on screen. At least now - as a father - we can accept if he becomes edgier as a superhero. A little selfish, even, if it means protecting his son.

If... and it's a big IF... Jason becomes a superhero... I'd like to see it happen down the track, when he's a teenager. I know it's out of continuity with the comics... but perhaps he could don the black t-shirt and become Superboy?

On second thought with the movie possibly being the "wrath of zod"

It's possible that like Khan, zod returns to seek revenge and kills someone very close to suprman/kirk.

BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I don't want Jason to die!!!! That would be teeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrible.

Why. I think I actually made a good one this time. Like Lordofnerds said. anything's possible.

Superman is too powerful for a sidekick,if he did have one.It might endanger him because if someone endangers the sidekick,Superman would be forced to admit defeat.

as far as the use of the kid goes, I think he's going to be another person close to Superman who gets into trouble frequently (a la Lois and Jimmy) but I doubt we'll see a super sidekick....or even a solo superkid.

although I do think the kid dying would present an oppotunity for a vengeful Superman.
... and thats not an angry fanboy talking. that legitimate interest in that route....
Although the fanboy in me echoes those sentiments to a degree... lol

I'll say right now that Superman Returns would have meant SQUAT if they just off Jason in the next one.

he shouuldnt be his dads side kick but he should save Superman.....

I don't really see why he can't be a sidekick or on a young superhero squad afterschool. He could even attend sky high in a spinoff movie perhaps. That'd be awesome.

I disagree. Superman came home and reclaimed his place in the world. I dont think they'll kill jason in the next one, but in any event SR could have been done with the same story, minus Jason, and yielded the same outcome.

true yes, he'd have learned that his true family is the one he's had all along etc. like in the movie already, but this idea of killing jason I have to find some disagreement with. the SR movie as it is is basically about superman finding his family more than finding his place. He comes back and in no time he's still superman, still loved by everyone except of course the woman he scorned. He went through no great effort to get back to being the big hero he's always been. So in the end his search for his biological family is completed when he learns he has a son, (I could have told him about birds and bees and the movie would have been over sooner ;) heh ). Lois is still conflicted so the love triangle aspect is left unresolved. Lex's stupid plan could never hold my interest ever again so that's not going to make me want to see it again... So what would all that stuff about searching for family and finding one under your nose have meant when in the next one, the kid is erased from existence? It seems rather silly to waste the superkid after making such a big deal out of him in the last picture.

I wish I could fly around the world and make it spin backwards and had the power to prevent Singer from getting his hands on the Superman franchise.

I voted "no" btw.

sure, but only after the trilogy.

of course arguing about this now is kinda moot :(

no. Superman flies alone. It would just be childish if Supes and Jason were a dynamic duo.

I really don't think Jason should be Superman's sidekick.

Rather, since Luthor already knows who the father is, Superman and Lois should send the kid into hiding to prevent some other whackjob from finding out about Jason's 'secret'. Then, when Superman ultimately dies fighting some menace on the level of Doomsday or something, Jason re-emerges in his late teens or early twenties to assume his father's mantle, saying that he's been shuffled back and forth the last couple years between his godparents, Bruce and Diana. ;)

I think he should have his movie where he fights the evil men of Boy's Town and N.A.M.B.L.A.
