Since Loebe's run in the Utimates is so bad, should it be retconned? Would that make things better or will it just cause more problems?

No, they should just cancel the Ultimates altogether. Cancel all of the Ultimate titles.

Why? That would be stupid.

So, do what you always do when something sucks, ignore it and move on. Besides, somebody else could take small plot points from this run, and actually do awesome things with it. That's how this whole thing is supposed to work.

Besides, what's the point? It's just the unverse.

i dont see any problem with it nor with many of the ultimate lines for that matter... i enjoy the ultimate line very much and they seem to have a better grasp on their own continuity than most others do

LAWL!

Man, what an incorrect statement.

Yeah, they've got less than 10 years worth of continuity and have already f**ked up a bunch of times.

not as bad as some of the stuff thats going on elsewhere

But enought to say, "it's only been eight years, how could you have screwed this up."

No, there is nothing worth "running with" in these issues so far. It deserves a Dallas ending.

all that aside though i still enjoy the ultimate line very much

I used to like Ultimate X-men and the really good artwokr by Kubert but that was the "Good" Ultimate stuff along with like Spiderman up until after the Venom Arc. Ultimates was cool til it got delayed but yeah I hate the Ultimate line now. Why can't it be cool again!

I don't see why it matters what is in or out fo continuity in the Unverse.

True. But to be fair, in the beginning no one knew how many titles there would be, and what the timeline was. If you look at U F4, it's EXTREMELY messed up. In fact, I think Nick Fury mentions the FF in the first issue of Ultimates, but in UFF #1, they already know about the Ultimates. VERY confusing.

And let's not pull another genius move and just erase 8 years of continuity. Marvel would NEVER do such a thing.

wait.....

It seems more like the Onslaught Universe than the Ultimate Universe.

It's not bad, though. It's a pretty decent read. Nothing great, but certainly not bad by any stretch. A little flawed.

Ultimates by Millar and Hitch had too little payoff in the story conclusions. It's not exactly a run that can't be topped. I don't feel the Loeb and Joe Mad run (after 2 issues) is as good, but it all depends on the payoff. It won't compare, anyway, due to the 5 issues vs. 25 issues, but if the payoff is better than the many letdowns from Millar, I might feel differently. I think McGuiness will keep the same bouncy vibe when he starts drawing the series, which is a drastic shift away from Hitch's widescreen theatrics.

The run has been nothing great.Decent and not as "epic failing" bad as the internet would have you believe.

If you think it really sucks that badly, just don't read it I guess.
