Should Microsoft put out a handheld gaming console?

No, I don't see the point, unless they can offer something different then PSP or the DS. I wouldn't mind if they decided to publish games for one of those (but that seems unlikely)

WELL, 'ZUNE', THEIR NEW MULTIMEDIA PLAYER IS COMING OUT THIS FALL/WINTER, SO I'D SAY THEY'RE HEADED IN THAT DIRECTION ALREADY.

'ZUNE' WILL LIKELY BE ABLE TO DO JUST THAT, AT SOME POINT. IT'LL HAVE AN 80GB HD, AND HAVE 'LIVE ANYWHERE' FUNCTIONALITY........SO I'D SAY THEY'VE GOT SOMETHING LIKE THAT IN THE WORKS. OF COURSE, IT WILL PROBABLY ONLY PLAY "ARCADE" STYLE GAMES.......NOTHING XBOX-QUALITY AT ALL. BUT IF THEY DO WELL ENOUGH WITH 'ZUNE', YOU CAN BET THEY GO AFTER THE HANDHELD GAMING MARKET NEXT.............'MS' LIKES TO PLAY FROM BEHIND FOR SOME REASON.

No, they're already supporting the DS with quite a few titles, they have no interest in the hand held market, that's not why they got into the games industry in the first place, it was to take the "living room media center" market that PS3 and 360 are now fighting over. Zune is just Microsoft's crappy iPod killer anyways, I doubt it'll ever play games anymore than a cellphone.

heh, dude, I don't feel like paying more mass amounts of money on a game system right now, I have my 360, heh, I am fine...I'm waiting out for the Wii also...so, I must save
