be considered neo-Nazis given that they worked with and for neo-Nazis? Or is that affiliation weak enough and their own beliefs different enough that they should be considered just ex-employees/affiliates rather than neo-Nazis themselves?

They weren't shown to share the beliefs of neo-Nazis....they just associated with them to get revenge on Tony Stark. They were messed up kids.

Red Skull broke Hydra off of Nazi Germany because he/they did not share Hitler's vision. I don't think the Hydra that rebuilt itself within Shield were White Supremacists but it is hard to say now that I think about it
