Does anyone think the show ever will or should make the heroes existence known? Do you think some time down the line the existence of evolved people will be a well-known fact, or should it stay a secret for the entire length of the show?

Personally I hope it eventually becomes known, but not too soon. There are some interesting stories that could be told if the world knew about the abilities.

On the other hand, if they go the whole route of people fearing and hating people with powers, like they did in Five Years Gone, it could be a bit too much like X-Men (and no, aside from the basic premise of people with powers, the show's really not much like X-Men as it is).

I think there has to be at least ONE hero who wants fame and glory, and he becomes a public figure, even going as far as to dress up in a costume and fight crime.

Or we'll get a guy who acts like he has powers, and becomes famous. A hero can disprove him.

Either of these could bring the Heroes to the public eye and whether or not that's a good thing can be decided by the writers.

What i'm curious about is how it hasn't happened yet. I mean, it's been going on for a couple hundred years, and it's hard to believe that someone with powers never slipped up. Maybe we'll find out about that, that they have some kind of means to keep it a secret and stop some random person from discovering powers and being found out about.

i like the secrecy thing it sorta brings hope that our world is being saved every day and we will never even know it

This hints at that: http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/newsitem.cgi?id=12172

Excellent. Alright, moving on we've got Jim Loder who also has some questions about the family Petrelli. "With the New York media being what it is, wouldn't the mother of a former congressman - one who mysteriously disappeared, and now roams the streets as a drunk who lost his family - being held on suspicion of murder be a front page story? Even Matt Parkman acts as if the Petrelli name is unfamiliar, and he had telepathic conversations with Peter Petrelli about Sylar. Could the Haitian have removed everyone's memory of the Petrelli family, including Nathan's run for Congress?"

There's also not a lot of talk about a large explosion that happened over the New York skyline. How did that happen? I hope we learn soon.

I say yes. The sooner the better.

Yep....powers = hate crimes.

But that will just happen anyway. Come out show your faces and just move past it.

Id rather they be kept secret

It would be hard to do it for so long given that events like the Kirby Plaza fight take place often in the Heroes world. Of course the Hatian just minds wipes everyone.

i don't care that much considering x men have done the exact same story so many times! I feel heroes still needs something more original to step out that comparison

Actually, I'd be a lot less worried about it being like X-Men than I would it ending up more like the deathly boring The 4400.

I can see the obvious comparison to Xmen but in all honesty the Heroes character make fun of that anyway (Hiro) and I think it is doing well to establish itself as a great show.

I completely Agree! Adds to the hope that the extraordinary can exist! :woot:

On the contary I think if people new real heroes were out there we would all believe more in the extraordinary.

That will be Peter . (It's pretty obvious later down the road he'll be wearing a cape & Tights using his super powers to help people & Fight crime .)

Like the graphic novel ;)

I was always thinking that the public finding out about these guys would make quite a good story.

Hopefully it happens down the road.I mean, somebody has to see Nathan,West of Peter flying one of these days right?

nice! i didn't know there were all of those easter eggs as well as a bonus novel.
