The Dark Knight Should there be one final Gotham Times newspaper?

Yea I just came up with this idea now. I dunno if anyone else thought of it, but knowing my luck you guys probably have lol. If so let the thread die/closed/ merge/whatever.

But as a final part of the viral, would it be cool idea they make a fourth volume, with articles discussing the events of The Dark Knight?

I think it would be cool. Sure, why not? Maybe they could discuss what happened to Joker (Locked up in Arkham).

I would love to see something like that happen. Articles about all the madness, the hysteria and violence that took place in those final moments of the film. A piece about Harvey and the new commisioner. Could be good if done right.

Here's my concept:

The fourth Gotham Times comes out, and details the movie and Jokers capture. I am not sure if Harvey is Dead or not.

It sits dormant for months. Joker is admitted to Arkham, and as part of his therapy and rehabilitation, he has plastic surgery forced on him to correct his scars, This changes his appearance, and he seems cured.

One day, the fourth Gotham Times is found to be defaced! Upon checking his cell, it is found that Joker has escaped, and a Ronald MacDonald statue has been used to make everyone think he was still there.

He starts up a new set of games, to kick off the 3rd movie.

Yeah, I thought of that. It would be cool if the game never really stopped but the updates they made never really did anything for plot so we'd still have something without it completely screwing with their plans for the next movie. The cool thing is that this one started a year beforehand so we can definitely hope that we won't have to wait to start virals again right when the movie starts. Which reminds me, is there a year that the third one is expected to be out in? I don't follow much info on the movies so as to avoid spoilers, but have we been given and estimations?

If not the Gotham Times, then maybe one last episode of Gotham Tonight, but I think the Times would be more practical for them to do. I'd love to hear a little more on how the Joker was taken to Arkham laughing the whole way or something. t:

Which reminds me, is there a year that the third one is expected to be out in? I don't follow much info on the movies so as to avoid spoilers, but have we been given and estimations?

We don't even know if there'll be a third film. The Dark Knight just came out last Friday. People are just automatically assuming there will be one because it's typical for films to come in trilogies. But I imagine, if anything, we can look to what's happened before to have some idea of what's next. In that case, Nolan will probably do another film before returning to do a third Batman film. If he even decides to do one.

But I imagine, if anything, we can look to what's happened before to have some idea of what's next. In that case, Nolan will probably do another film before returning to do a third Batman film. Hah! One of my teachers used to say that all the time.

But yeah. That's kind of a grouchy subject for me. The film hasn't even been out for a week. But people are already jabbering on about a sequel like it's cemented in stone. It's like folks aren't just enjoying this film for what it is. They automatically want more. And personally, I'm sick of hearing about it already. I'd rather talk about the DVD/Blu-Ray release.

I don't think the viral's done. Normally there are some kind of credits or something. I think it's just on pause until the movie comes out on DVD, so it' won't ruin it for the few that may not have watched it (15 times).

I do agree though really and if one more person says "there should be end credits"

I think credits would kind of ruin the game. Unless they were released as something that fits into like a list of the people the Joker killed or something, I don't know. I do think itd be pretty awesome if the viral didnt stop, but why would WB pay 42e for that if they dont even know about another movie, when it will come out, or what the script will be like

Meh.... I'll believe it when they officially announce it. Nothing against your friend. But they don't even have a deal set in stone. So I'd be hard pressed to believe they'd already have a set date to begin principle photography.
