Right now, let's go with the assumption that "Incredible Hulk" will have little or nothing to do with Ang Lee's film. Should they take the same approach w/DD, & just start fresh or even semi-fresh?:daredevil

I wouldn't wish an "Incredible Hulk" take to DD upon any DD fan, and I've wished for others to catch the Ebola Virus.

Yeah. Bring back MSJ again, but this time, Jason Statham as DareDevil.

An "Incredible Hulk" take means this: Remove all credible and talented filmmakers and actors from the film and start semi-fresh with far less talented people. :barf:

Imagine recasting Ben Affleck with Jessie McCartney and you have an "Incredible Hulk take on DD" :down:down:cmad:

Okay-I think I should go on record here saying I think that changing direction from the original "Hulk" film is a bad idea. But a lot of people dodn't like it & a lot of people didn't like Daredevil.

I going to have to start accepting this "Incredible Hulk" fiasco sooner or later, but goddangit it's gonna be later!:cmad::down

I'm thinking that Incredible Hulk is going to be a vague sequel. A sequel to the Hulk but you don't have to watch the original in order to get what is going on. Sorta like Batman Forever is to Batman and Batman Returns.

and we all know what a good idea that was

That doesn't help.

First of all Superman Returns kicked like 7 different kinds of asses.

Second, that vague sequel crap was Singer talking out of his ass for people who didn't want a sequel to the Donner movies. Superman Returns is a full on brand new Superman 3

You do realize that your previous post was regarding Batman, not Superman?

I agree

I agree.

See Chris's above post

no, there wasnt a god damn thing wrong with the first Daredevil that the studio didnt cause, make a sequel with MSJ in complete control

There was a lot more wrong with the first Daredevil than there was with the first Hulk

There were some minor things wrong that MSJ did himself. Like the playground. But nothing that ruined my overall enjoyment.

Why do people hate the playground scene? I thought it was great for Matt and Elektra to establish their relationship and it's not totally out of line with the comics. Every now and then, Matt would show of a bit for a girl.

But as to the main point of the thread, no, I wouldn't want them to "Redo" Daredevil, as I thought it was fine the way it was(the Director's Cut, anyway).

I don't even hate the playground scene as much as some people. I just thought it was a bit of a stretch & a little out of place.

Either way they decide to go, I'll be happy. A straightforward sequel would do me fine. However, if they did restart the franchise, I would LOVE a fresh start that set up "Born Again" as the sequel - with love-interest Karen Page leaving at the end of the first film because she couldn't handle Matt's nightlife. And DON'T expose DD's secret identity to every other character on screen... just Karen and Ben Urich.

NO!

WAIT, ACTUALLY....

HELL NO!!!

Bring MSJ and Ben Affleck back. For those who read "Born Again," you probably know that Ben is really a Daredevil fan. And to me- that's great, because they respect the character. Just get rid of Fox, and I litterally mean get rid of Fox!!! Fox was the only thing that went wrong. Watch the director's cut, you'll see what I'm talking about.

Fox: They don't want a story, delete the plot, character arcs, etc. and just add a sex scene.

Critics and viewers: This sucks! Where's the story?!

I hope Fox realizes what they did wrong, bring Daredevil back and THIS time- keep their filthy no good hands off of it!!!

End rant.

BTW, can't wait to see 'Ghost Rider'. Fox isn't involved- finally....

Oh, I was thinking that he was refering to the "vague sequel" that Singer constantly mentions about Superman Returns.

Personally, I think that a vague sequel would work for the Incredible Hulk. As long as they get Eric Bana.

Liked Collin Farrel, but now that I think of it Statham would make a great Bullseye.
