It would definatly make sense, save money on set pieces.

Do you think they tore down the big Gotham city set or the Bat cave set?

No - they are still up.

As a fan it would be great for them to film the sequels back-to-back, how well it would work for the actual cast and crew involved however is another story.

Its ok if it makes Nolan sick of Batman, he'd be done with his series.

I'll never understand how so many people on these boards can constantly spell "sequel" incorrectly. I mean, for Christ's sake, the word is in the forum TITLE. You look at it EVERY TIME YOU VISIT. HOW CAN YOU STILL GET IT WRONG?

filming sequels always has its ups and its downs. as a director moves forward in his career, he develops new skills. If they film them back to back, at least we have all the groundwork laid, but like they did with the last Matrixes, we got shoddy effects in the last one cuz they weren't as advanced by thye time of release

I hope not, this would be rushing thing in my opinion.

I dont think so.....it would be wise (if they got a massive budget and a good storyline) to film the sequels back to back, remember, they aged, so if we dont want to see them to old when each film comes out, it should be done like that

forgiviness please :(

yes because then we wouln't have to wait five years for the batman movie after this one.

The only thing that would be taken out of it, is that it would keep the actors even younger for even more films. However, I agree that it'd be far too rushed. I don't like the thought of Nolan having to concentrate on the sequel, AND at the same time which direction the third would be heading. Nolan's already said to have an exciting story on his hands, that's due to having time and thought on what it is he has in mind for the sequel.

If there is in fact a third, I'd hope that he does the same. Especially if we'll be getting an introduction of Two-Face, through his eyes and what the comics depicted it as. Along with the story, etc.

^^^^^ Well put, Bats. ;) I agree with all of you who don't want the back to back happening.

I think it could work, but I wouldn't want it. It would, as others said, feel rushed, and Nolan would probably grow tired of it after some time.

Well the actors arent getting any younger so in that aspect I would want them filmed back to back but I wouldnt want them rushed either.

I agree with Bats. It's nice to have the actors younger for more films, especially Caine and Freeman, who are already kind of up there, but at the same time, I think we'll get a better story if we let Nolan take the time to do the second one as awesome as we know he will, and then focus on the third one in it's own time, and make it awesome, too.

Only if they decide it's the prudent thing to do.

I want it to be filmed back to back but it's too expensive for the studio.

Exactly Bats, I think as well that it will be rushed and one of the reasons why Nolan directing another non-Batman movie so that he will come with a fresh mind on Batman 2.

I think it would be best b/c Christian Bale is continuously an actor on the rise, Christopher Nolan is constantly getting offers to direct/produce/write other films. This would give us the Batman movies that we want SOONER and free up their schedules to do other films, while completing a new Batman Trilogy.

But then again, come to think of it, do you actually think that Warner Bros. will stop with number three if all 3 films are successful? Come on.

Great idea, especially since the wait won't be 3 friggin' years for the fans.

Then again, if it turns out like the matrix sequels, I'll pass.
