Should they make another Punisher movie?

a lot of us have been saying this, put it on FX or somewhere where violance is lenient and make it a gritty/violent crime drama.

I'm thinking HBO so they have to hold back on violence, but FX could also be a good solution too.

So far, the Punisher has been in three films, all of which didn't sit well with fans. At Marvel’s Comic-Con panel, Kevin Feige revealed that they’re doing it again. Feige says that the character is under the welcoming roof of Marvel Studios now and they want to take their own shot at it. Specifically he said he’s hoping for a “Frank Castle” movie shortly.

Later during a roundtable interview for Thor, Feige addressed the larger issue of Marvel character cross-overs on the big screen. "They've done it in the comics occasionally so you never know. We'd like to do an alliance between other Marvel characters behind other doors," he said.

But added, "We'll see. It's always a pleasant surprise when it happens but there's lots of legal, contractual red tape. They will be few and far between. Awhile."

A “Frank Castle” movie. Interesting.

ever seen Prison Break? great show and hes good in it...he can definitely bring out the brutality and cunning in Frank.

I also vaguely remember him in Primeval and he wasnt bad in it either. Blade III sure as hell wasnt his worst performance.

and physically Dominic is definitely in franks range being 6'2 and ripped like a monster.

I'd like to see Jane do another Punisher movie that was more in line with the character. The Punisher doesn't create elaborate schemes to make his enemy kill his wife and best friend. He just kills people.

Year One is the first Punisher comic book I read, I thought it was awesome.

I do want to read Born and Welcome Back Frank, though. My brother's been getting Punisher GN's lately and those two are the ones he wants to get next.

OK i know we are all happy Frank Castle is back home with Marvel Studios and a possible Punisher movie under their banner is awesome and all.It is just that i feel The Punisher is just a doomed character he will always need to be rated R and all the films bombed.

Punisher(2004) - Budget of 33 million - Profit of 54 million

Alsonotto mention his story may feel a little bit too cliche to the movie going public they seem him as nothing more than a vigilante wanting revenge a concept that has been done to death.Also it has been done better than the Punisher Films i feel like Taken and Death Sentence were better Punisher like films.

A guy who wants revenge on his family just gets old and tired too quick i think if we are gonna see new punisher we need to move on beond that.

Born is an amazing story, one of my favorite for sure. Year One is great in that it shows how he becomes The Punisher. its a great story too, you should check it out.

you need to watch it, great series, its pretty much the biggest reason id want Dominic as Frank.

War Zone was one of the best comic adaptations I've seen in a long time. I don't see what Marvel could do in a new movie. FrankenCastle? I've lost my faith after BND.
