you can't tease anyone with half a second clips that could be joker, or could be just a bad edit.

I like Boom's idea of the Gordon/Batman Roof Top scene from BB being part of the teaser, but I think it could be done as a voiceover playing over footage of TDK, and then after Bats says "I'll look into it", we get the breif shot of The Joker, before we cut to black, and the last thing the audience hears is the laugher.

It would be similar to the X-Men 2 teaser, but it would work just as well here too.

No, there should be just hints and quick shots of Joker in action (but they should be very quick to leave people in interest), two or three shots of his victims and the sound of him laughing at the end.

Personally I think teaser should look like SM3 teaser with short dialogues and a lot of action scenes.

So I guess 1 minute 30-40 secs will be enough to show everything.

Agreed, this will disappoint fans and BB's audience. I think WB should go with Sony's frmula of making first trailers. It always works.
