Should Thor (the character) be CGI in a live action movie?

Just a thought. If Marvel is going to go with big-name stars for their movies, as they seem to be doingI really don't see anyone being able to bring an accurate Thor to the big screen.
No actor out there really looks the part, both size and face wise; the whole body-suit thing, ala Juggarnaut didn't go over real well, so, that leaves CGI as at least a possibility. WHat do you folks think?
Edit: of course a regular actor for Dr. Blake, but CGI for Thor, just like TIH.

There's no Blake. CGI makes the character impersonal and out-of-touch.

That'd be suicide...budget would skyrocket and the movie would suffer. No actor, no film.

Lol what? Why? Thor is just a human looking god. Nothing CGI-ness in him.

If they do it CGI, how is that going to look when Avengers comes out?

If fans could just settle on a character who looks huge instead of demanding any Thor actor be a bodybuilder 6'3" and above, then I don't see how anyone would even THINK about CGI-ing Thor.

live action, they're building up to Avengers. Of course live action

Don't flame me, but what about Triple H as Thor? He has the look and the body for it....

No. You still need an actor in the role. Brad Pitt might work (judging from 'Troy'), but point is you can find actors who look strong enough to be Thor without going to wrestlers.

NO. I don't want that bad friggin Beowulf again. I want a good, no great Thor movie.

Maybe the OP was thinking 'Thor' could be done along as the same lines as Zemeckis' "Beowulf." (EDIT: I am Batman beat me to it lol :p )

Still, a flesh & blood Thor would be far superior.

/\ Yeah. All live action actors and CG Thor in Avengers movie. That mix would be- trippy.

No, has to be either 100% cgi or live action with cgi extensions and I vote for the latter.

As for THOR himself I can think of at least 5 actors who could play him. You dont need no 6'10" bodybuilder to pull that off.

While Thor is a really big guy, i dont think it would be a strech to have a good actor who is a big guy. You make it seem like Thor is the flippen Hulk. He does not need to be cgi. It would be easy to accept someone normal sized but built.

No CGI; that'll kill the movie. Hulk has to do it because we won't want to see a man in green paint, but Thor has no such excuse.

Like others mentioned, it would mess up the coming together in the Avengers, and I'd like to add that a CGI human would look even faker to us then a CGI Hulk, simply for the fact that we obviously are very intune with what fellow flesh and bone humans look like, whereas we aren't exactly sure what a green behemoth would look like.

It would look crap and it almost be worst then having a professional wrestler taking up the mantle... I did say almost because I can deal with questionable CGI much easier then I can deal with crap acting.

It's a little hard to hold back from flaming Triple H as a choice since we've been over that cast choice over and over again... It be utter crap, Thor will already be a hard project to make work, so you need an actor that could really sell the character, not some roided *****ebag.

This guy sure looks like Thor to me.
