Iron Man Should "Tony Starks" have a cameo?

^I suppose that's only if you know who this guy is, which I myself don't. I could walk past him on the street and have no clue about him, so I doubt he'll be taking me out of the story. Stan Lee I recognize, but he's the creator so that's different. I'm willing to give him that much credit to have a cameo, and from what I've heard his cameo in this movie sounds like the best yet.

I love all sorts of music; Fishscale was a great album. He's also released some other good work, though I'll admit to having only heard his last one extensively.

I'd love to see Ghostface in the movie. I love musician cameos. I just about pissed myself when Tom Waits showed up in Domino.

I just don't want a stupid cameo taking me out of the movie's story. Stan Lee's cameo's usually do that but at least they made sense in Fantastic Four.

I doubt he'll take anyone out of the story as barely any of us even know what he looks like.

I don't see why so many people think it would be terrible for him to have a cameo. He's not that conspicuous-looking a guy anyway, if you don't know who he is you wouldn't even notice him.

That Sheikh from Dubai business is pretty ridiculous though, I'm hoping that's just a rumor.

It really doesn't matter to me. So long as he can deliver a line if it comes to that and doesn't kill the pace in his appearance I'm okay with it. There are worse references in these Marvel movies to the real world, like all of the writer references in Daredevil.

Wow, the arrogance here is astounding. I know damn well most, if not all of you who are against this idea, are only doing so because of your dislike for rap.

Ghostface is a true hardcore fan just like any one of us, only difference is he's made a living in the music industry. Ya'll act like if he's in the movie, he'll suddenly start freestyling or spit some slang like, "yo yo what up my dawg, that's fo' shizzle!". That or somehow a walk-on role HAS to mean they'll bring their hip hop baggage with them, which for sure means a rap soundtrack to accompany the film.

Because that's what rappers do, right?

He's not entitled to a cameo, but I'm not remotely against a small cameo for a fan like him. Either way, some of you need to take your heads out of those ignorant asses. Acting like some immature bastards. :down

I don't see why he shouldn't get a cameo nor do I see why he should. I think they should focus on making the best movie rather then concerning them self with cameos

There wouldnt even BE any Marvel movies, without Stan Lee, bro.

Im sending you a Stan Lee poster so you can wake up every morning and kiss it right after you check on your Marvel stock portfolio. :yay:

I heard on my local radio station that he is making some sort of a cameo in this movie....

I bet you he knows nothing about the character other then the fact that iron man is stark's alter ego. Isn't there a rapper that calls himself Johnny Blaze too? And a Frank Castle? it's stupid. You've never read a comic book. Your music sucks. You have no talent. Go away.

A lot of rappers are self-professed comic fans, and a lot of them grew up on Marvel, as a lot of us did. I even had to give Sticky Fingaz props whenever people interviewed him in relation the Blade Series. He seemed incredibly familiar with all of those comics from the Tomb of Dracula era.

I have no problem with him getting a cameo in the film and even a track on the sound track, if he is as big a Iron Man fan has is claimed, then more power to him, I'd give anything to have a cameo in Iron Man, I'm a life long Iron Man fantactic, so if he's a fan a gets a role, awesome.

Except he has referenced many facets about Iron Man's stories, that you could only know by reading the books. These guys are as much of hardcore fans as we are.

Stop being so damn ignorant because they rap. You're making a fool out of yourself. :down

I wouldn't mind if he had one of the songs he's already done on the soundtrack, or an original track, as long as he doesn't remix the Black Sabbath song like people are suggesting. Please God don't let them put any kind of cover of that.

The 90s cartoon theme song, well, that's different...

I'm ok with it as long as he doesn't have a speaking role. Most likely would say some kind of ghetto slang one liner. Just because he's a fan doesn't mean he deserves to be in the film. That would be like saying all of us fans deserve a cameo. Oh I forgot! He's a rapper so that makes it better since most of the moronic youth today all idolize rappers and gangbanging and thug life **** nowdays. :(

I have got to say, I agree with a previous poster, you're just showing ignorance here. With a speaking role, the hip-hop junk doesn't have to come along. In fact most of the posted links said he would be a sheik.

I don't even like rap for the most part, and I still think comments like this are completely ignorant. Every era has their music that they "idolize." Not all of them with good messages either :whatever:.

You act like since I hate country, if a country singer turns out to be in a movie as a cameo, I have to hate them. Espepecially if they had a speaking line with all that southern jibber jabber... :whatever:

Edit: By the way, I happen to belong to this so called... "moronic youth.." Trust me, most of us are a lot smarter than you think, regardless of taste in music and life style choices. :cwink:

But what can you do? Most people look down on newer generations because they never resemble their own.

I'm just going off of what I've seen in the past and in life. Maybe not all the time, but definetly most of the time, when a rapper is in a movie they are playing.....surprise! someone from the ghetto and if not from the ghetto they still are speaking with major slang.

It's not about idolizing music from my era. It's simple facts, rap usually is about calling women *****es and ho's and gangbanging. Those are real positive messages for the young ones.:whatever: Just like certain types of Metal, some of it is junk just talking about evil **** just for the sake of being "cool" and "hardcore". See it's not just about rap with me.

I didn't say I hated the guy. How can I hate him when I don't know him personally. I just don't care for a rapper to be in the film simply because he used IronMan material for his songs.

No ****! It's called exaggeration, I would never be that ignorant to say every last one of today's youth. I do mean a lot of them though. Maybe it's because I live in CA, the land of the fake and trendy. Seriously, if any one generation was entirely brain dead, we wouldn't have made it this far.:yay:

But what can you do? Most people look down on newer generations because they never resemble their own.

That to me is a stupid reason to look down on a newer generation. I'm 26, what I mentioned earlier about the whole it's cool to be a gangster wanabe gangbanger thug life type was coming about during my generation. Well, depending on how old you are, it could be our generation. I just felt that trend and lifestyle is in fact ignorant itself.

Ok Shaq promoted the superman logo should he have a cameo in Superman? Stuff like that kinda detract from the movie imo

Well, Shaq got a whole freakin' movie out of his idiolization of Superman. Steel anyone.

I still think Ghostface in the movie will be cool, though.

So you're already coming in with a preconceived notion. How is that even fair?

Perhaps you should've clarified that you're talking about "mainstream rap". At least I hope you are. Because if you aren't, you couldn't be more wrong.

He's not entitled to a role, no. But I wouldn't rule him out just because he's a rapper. A non-speaking cameo, or even just a little line for him to say would be fine. He's not really known outside the rap community, so it's not comparable to having a big-time celeb drop in a cameo.

You make me laugh sometimes Drexx. A notion is an idea or thought about something. So yes, I think that he would most likely be what I said earlier. Simply because of all the other times in film that it's happened. I would say it's about a 95% chance that he would have some kind of "cool" type of one liner if he were to be in it.
