I was deep in thought and it struck me what the underlying problem with a third film is, the story. Both Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan are stressing the importance of a compelling narrative in the development of Batman 3. Why not bring in Frank Miller to develop the script along with Jonathan and Chris? Frank Miller knows Batman better than anyone else, so why not have him involved with the production of a new film? Nolan could still direct the movie, but Miller would be brought in as a muse of sorts for the development of the story. Think about it…

NO! Frank Miller is overrated and a terrible writer.

Like it or not, Frank Miller has played an integral role in the creation of modern Batman. Year One and The Dark Knight Returns are considered seminal works.

yeah but those stories have nothing to do with Nolans universe and with his recent dismal display of the spirit, i dont want him getting anywhere near the set or script.

Why not bring in Jeph Loeb instead since he's the one who made the Long Halloween and Dark Victory? He could help Nolan out since Nolan has been using "the long halloween" as his basis for the story format.

I'm pretty sure Frank Miller was abducted and replaced with a robot.
Controversial Bot, perhaps?

For the love of God NO!!!!

You're joking right? To say that Miller had no influence on the Nolan films is being more than naive.

No. Did anybody read Miller's Year One Script
my god that was awful

Give him a chance. I think the result would be great

Yah I'm down with that. And no one bring up All-Star Batman. It seems pretty clear Frank Miller has never given a **** about that. When he actually writes a story he's really in love with, he writes wonderful Batman stories. As long as he doesn't try to make Batman too bitter. Batman should be bitter, but there are moments in Miller's works where Batman is TOO Bitter.

Did you see the Spirit?
Do we really want anything like that near the Nolanverse?

The movie was god awful (5/10) but still I wouldnt want any of that writing in a Batman film

Miller ahsnt been good since early 90s

No that's okay. They'll figure out a story. They haven't needed him before, don't need him now. Things will be fine.

yeah ... Year One a tad bit for Batman Begins, but were talking Batman 3 here. What Miller story are we gonna apply here to batman 3?

It doesn't have to be based off one of his works. He doesn't even have to write the script, he can be involved in the creative process and help come up with a compelling story. I'd perfer that^

New story, new concept. The great part of Miller's Year One script was that it brilliantly portrayed the Bat-man as a vigilante on the run from cops (ending of TDK). Frank Miller, when under control, can create awesome stories.

Too bad he hasn't been under control since Cross Colors were in style. :o

And somebody suggested Jeph Loeb, guess what? He sucks now too.
