Iron Man 2 Should Whiplash Fly?

I don't see how they could make a flying disc work. It or something similar has been tried in films before and it always sucked. Armor flight only please. Unless you can actually make it cool and I'm completely wrong, which I wouldn't mind being.

Don't see the appeal with making only his armor fly. It's like an Iron Man rip-off, but with whips.

I actually think the flying disc could work. It wouldn't really be any different than the goblin gilders in the Spider-Man films.

True. If only the way the glider in the first movie moved was better like how the night surfer moved it would have been awesome. Because the night surfer board, while it sucked, still moved a lot better than the glider from #1.

or maybe, he has the booster boots (like Starks), but, doesn't quite know how to work them (doesn't have the hand controls, or only has a limited power source) so, he only get breif boosts of power, just enough to get in off the ground

On the topic of the flying disc for Whiplash, I think the bigger problem would be the audience thinking that it was a Green Goblin rip-off more than anything.

Flying discs are not a new idea. Nobody accused the Silver Surfer from ripping-off Goblin.

I would rather see Whiplash either with a disc, or not flying at all. I don't like the idea of built-in boots. Too close to Iron Man, and kind of unimaginative.

Well to be fair, Silver Surfer & the Green Goblin are quite well known and that counts for a lot. Whiplash isn't.
