Ok, the A-Team looks fantastic from what we can see so far. It really captures the feel of the show, while reviving it for a modern audience.

A while ago they attempted to bring Knight Rider to TV...it bombed. I think there are two reasons for that. 1) The writers were idiots. 2) You just can't bring Knight Rider to life with a tv show budget, not in the way people want. That kind of action is just too expensive for TV.

That's why I think they need to bring Knight Rider back, but as a feature film. I believe it could do really well in that media.

And while we are on the subject of bringing back classic TV to film...Airwolf. That's another show that really couldn't be done WELL on a TV budget. But bring it to the big screen and you have what could be a great action film based on the old franchise.

I know what some of you are thinking "Come on! Hollywood already has enough remakes!" Well...for those of us who grew up on these classic shows...I think it's FUN (remember that word?) to see one of my classic series revived for at least one major film. And if we're lucky, it does well and get's a sequel or two.

Anybody have any other live-action classic shows they want to see made into film?

Something could be done with;

First Wave
Brimstone
Sliders
Animorphs
Power Rangers

And I know they're not live action but..

Gargoyles
Pirates of Darkwater
Mighty Max
Reboot

The Pretender.
Macgyver.
The Fall Guy.
Gargoyles.
Walker Texas Ranger just kidding.

Ooh...Sliders. Good one, Vapor. I could really see that as a big budget film. Or even a trilogy. I think if done right, it would do fantastic.

power rangers... as a cg animated movie

The Six Million Dollar Man--They've been talking about it for a long time, but have yet to bring it to the silver screen. I loved that show, especially the story arc that included Bigfoot. It was great fun.

Kolchak: The Night Stalker-- Great horror series from the 70's that would make a fantastic movie franchise. Kevin Spacey would make an excellent Kolchak, investigating bizarre murders and tracking down vampires, werewolves, etc. It would be very cool.

The Secret Diary of Desmond Pfeiffer

White Collar
Human Target
Fringe

I keep thinking if Lost would make great movies. Maybe not. Because they're already cinematic. You could do it in three movies or so. No way you could do it in one.

Reboot
Mighty Max
Zoids
Gundam
Dinosaucers
Dinobots
Supernatural

Alias would be a great movie.

Angel would have made a pretty good movie. Animorphs, as mentioned above, would be AWESOME!!!!

Point Pleasant (interesting premise, great tone, lots of promise... and of course Fox cancelled it before it could even finish its first season. I'd love to see it as a film, but it would probably be done as some stupid teen horror crap.)
Veronica Mars (I just need more!!!)
Roswell
Arrested Development (this better be happening soon.)
The Tick
Lost in Space (but better than the last one. Keep Oldman though. They'll never do better than Oldman.)
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
And of course, GARGOYLES!!!

Pokemon

This is going to come off as ridiculous but I think a live action Pokemon movie could be awesome.

If they treated Pokemon as genetic experiments that were the product of tinkering with existing animal DNA. They would of started out in controlled areas (Like Professor Oaks ranch).

As time went on though these new creatures had their own viruses/diseases/bacteria that end up killing off all of Earths existing animals. Only leaving Pokemon to multiply and "evolve" over time.

It can take place 500 years or so from now. Although the extent of the future will be to what is shown in the anime. All the futuristic items will be mainly devices created around Pokemon (ex: Pokeballs, Pokedex, etc;that way they can save a good amount of money on setting production and focus on creature effects instead).

i'm wating on quatma leap moive. if they had scott bakula and dean stockwell. i would watch it. i heard they were going to make tv moive having sams daguhter leaping around in time trying to find sam. i'm surpised this isn't moive yet. the story is good you like the peoplles. i think it would make good trigoly.

I would like the hadry boys. it was tv show back in 1950s . they made nacey drew why not hardy boys. i been enjoying the books.

i alsways wanted decent hooneymooners not the recent black hooneymooners. i don't mind people. the guys didn't look like Ralph or ed nortion. i wont john goodman to play Ralph . i not sure who could play ed nortion always voted nicloe kidman for alice. i'm not sure who could play ed notrion or trixix,.

I liked Brimstone. Very short lived. Sliders is a good one.

Buck Rogers
Lost in Space - I agree with Sawyer
Space 1999

Reboot would be awesome as a live action movie.
I think we should give Lost in Space a second chance, but keep it closer to the original, or continue the story of the series. I've actually had an idea for a series about a second Jupiter crew searching for the Jupiter 2, but they get lost in space themselves, and eventually find the J2 and the crews merge.

a live action Pokemon would be strange...especially with the controlled fighting between the animals. But i can see them dropping that whole idea out the window, and just making it like a Jurassic park movie.
People come across wildly bizarre creatures called Pokemon in an unexplored Forrest. They try to catch them for money and put them in zoos. But a group of animal protectors seek out to protect them.

Such anger!!! But, yeah, you're right. If it doesnt happen within the year, I'm losing hope that it ever will.

Anger only because several of te cast and Mitch Hurwitz said it was happening, for sure, once and for all, and then Michael Cera went eh, and...

...nothing. I mean, really? Michael Cera halts production?

Plus it would probably work better as a movie than a TV show because the format has the start-to-finish isolation that AD's writing requires (i.e., you can't come in during the middle and have the same effect).
