A few friends and I are creating a short 8-minute film for the youtube Project Direct film competition. The characters are very similar to Batman and Robin (but due to copyright, they're not!). The main character is the sidekick named Rocket Boy, with the (more conservative and temperamental) hero (Silver Star) a secondary character. The film follows the two's conflict after it is revealed to the public that Rocket Boy is a minor. It's going to play out as a more personal drama with a touch of subtle comedy (Silver Star's costume is influenced somewhat by Burton's Batman & The Dark Knight, while Rocket Boy's is the earliest, pantsless Robin). The film should be up on youtube on November 9.

Here's a couple pics of Silver Star:

That's a fantastic idea! I always thought it was strange that Batman took an emotionally damaged and extremely vulnerable child with him on missions.
The costume for Silver Star is very well designed.
    Good luck!

Thanks, the actor who plays Silver Star has been into costuming for a long time, figured its time to put his skills to good use. Filming is 95% done, just a few establishing shots to go. Coming out great! I am very excited.

Great film dude. Simply amazing. Think you have a strong chance of winning this thing. Really unique and original. Leaves the viewer wanting MORE, in a good way.
