The Hasbro Licensing Summit 2008 at Malaysia Kuala Lumpur has revealed the identity of the Chevy Corvette as Sideswipe! The second revelation is confirmation of Ravage in Revenge of the Fallen. Ravage is described as having a very raw beast mode.

Further confirmation of our earlier report of Devastator in the Transformers sequel, as the toys will merge to become a Supreme sized figure.

Images of the Leader-class Optimus Prime and Megatron figures were shown, reconfirming that Megatron does indeed now have a tank as his vehicle mode and that the Optimus Prime figure will be a new mold with a new transformation.

Awesome. BTW, if anyone reads the comics, the Sideswipe issue due out this week or the next has some of the finest Transformer art I have ever seen!!!

I have mixed feelings about this. This character had little development in the G1 cartoon. If he had died in the cartoon movie I probably wouldn't have cared. Hopefully, he'll have some character development for once.

This has already been posted in both the pictures and news threads.

True, his cartoon character was not developed very well, however his comic book character is awesome, particularly the new stuff with IDW. We know the writers are also borrowing from the comic verse' for the Fallen, so why not the Sideswipe comic character.

What comics has he exactly been in? I have read a few of the latest stuff and dont recall him being mentioned. Though there are one's i own that i havent got around to reading yet.

In the IDW comics Sideswipe is part of Hounds unit. Based on Cybertron ruins.

That and he is itching to get to earth to find his brother Sunstreaker whom was captured by the Machination. Sideswipe has been given a bit of a "shoot first questions later" persona in the IDW comics while being hot headed and ill tempered.

^Is he in the Megatron:Origins storyline or the more modern one's of Infiltration.

anyone else think it my be part of the misinformation campaign to confuse us? seems awfully early to confirm news like this especially when their still in filming stage and they usually don't focus on names and personalities till post production. I think thiers a good chance the corvette isnt sideswipe but another autobot and sideswipe is one of the twins which makes alot more sense. but i guess you never know.

Ahh...One of my predicted new Autobot additions.

That would be a pretty elaborate hoax to throw people off considering the way Hasbro announced it, I doubt they would go to such great lengths.

Yeah IDE have teased with him for a while and now last few spotlights have shown more of him. Can't wait to read his spotlight. I really like waht they've done with the character.I wouldn't worry that he wasn't that developed in the original G1 cartoon, that could go for nearly all all of the autobots.

I'm glad sideswipe is confirmed, Bay needs to shine the spotlight on some more refreshing bots.

Me too, but i find it strange that Bay wouldn't make him red seeing as how Bay said himself, he likes bright colors.

It's like he makes these changes on purpose; to show the fans he's in charge, and not them.

In the behind the scenes on the dvd they said that red is hard to shoot (with the lighting and stuff) apparently. That's why Prime wasn't red.

It almost feels like when a parent tells their teenage son or daughter not to smoke, then the teenager does it anyway just for the hell of it and to prove how rebellious they are; that's the vibe i get from Bay concerning the changes he made in TF1 and now TF2.........

....it's like the only reason he changes things is to prove to the fans he can, and if they don't like it, then to hell with them.....

I'd do the same thing. The fans are gonna see it regardless.

^.That's what he's banking on.
