SInger/Ratner Collaboration

Just had an X-men weekend fest where I watched all three movies. Right now X3 is my fav, but I have to say that the character development was a lot better in 1 and 2. Seeing all the debate on the boards about which is better got me thinking that I would love to see Singer and Ratner work together on an X-men film. Have Singer do all the drama and character set-up and then get Ratner to come in and take over the action. I now it is pure fantasy and it would never happen, but it would be hella cool.

It's not like Ratner's film had no characterization. In my opinion, Beast was set up characterized about as well as any character in the X-films before X3.

I don't know about that. Beast WAS the most well developed character in X3, but I don't think he comes close to the growth of character shown in Rogue in 1 or Wolverine in X2. He's defninitely about as well developed as Scott was in X1 and Storm was in X2.

The problem is that Kitty pretty much exists only as "the other woman" for Rogue and Bobby. Collosus has even less lines in this film than X2 but he has more screentime which all happen to be action scenes. Neither of these two characters get anywhere near the character moments given to Nightcrawler in X2. I'm not even going to bring up the Morlocks since Magneto has had a history of having lackeys who aren't very well developed.
