Needs its own thread. This is comic GOLD. Everyone needs to see this.

While I do feel bad for Singer, I guess he ultimately brought this upon himself.
Poor guy's speechless in the video.

I can't download it at the moment ,what does he say ?

The ask him what he thinks of PotC breaking the BO record...and he just...stutters and says...nothing really. It is hilarious, just his facial expressions and his tone of voice.

Singer stuttered his way to oblivion :o

He pretty much has nothing to day..just stutters and keeps repeating "at least people are going to the movies.."

Ouch, sounds embarrassing, someone will owned gif it no doubt:O

Releasing the film before PotC was arrogant and stupid. They should have waited or released after... I would have shot for a May release. Ho well, the real reason this film isn't performing really isn't because of the release date.

I wonder if this is a preview of Singer's state at Comic-con...

But c´mon, you ask a director and cast about how well their competitor´s doing, what you want them to say? "Oh, they kicked our butt, didn´t they?"

Only a bastard would ask that question, but oh well Singer's a big boy, he knows how hollywood works. You are only as big as your last movie. WB were fools for not moving the movie back a full week. Pirates was the most anticpated movie of the summer. I have been saying this for months now that that release date was foolish.

Man, I really hope some fans are ready to videotape. An hour of that would be amazing. Can you imagine what something like Apt Pupil deposition must have been like?

This sounds horrible. I feel for the poor guy.
I hope it's on youtube,I got audio no video.

Gee, yeah... maybe the journalist should have asked him what his favourite colour is, or if he likes puppies?

Yeah, I do. Not act like a stuttering idiot and say "at least people are going to the movies."

...and this guy directed SR? Now it all makes sense. The guy is clueless.

In all honesty, Singer is in the entertainment business and POTC is the biggest story out there right now. It's a natural question.

Besides, it's not like Singer's big openings with X-Men, X2, Suspects haven't left other films/directors in the same boat he's now in. It's a two way street.

The rest of your post doesn't alter your assertion. A journalist is entitled to ask what he wants in the pursuit of a legitimate story, and Singer's reaction to POTC's trouncing of Superman Returns has certainly got all of us talking, hasn't it?

Oh God:( just got it to work and Bosworth handled her question well as did Routh to an extent but poor Singer he looked lost
