Siskel & Ebert review the Batman movies (VIDEO)

I was on the verge of ripping Ebert a new a**hole, but he saved himself by at least giving Batman Begins a thumbs up.

I don't care much for critics anyway. Like they're going to keep me from watching a film just because they don't approve...

But thanks for the videos, Catman. Although it seems the Batman&Robin video isn't there. They just play the Batman Forever video over again...oh well, I can imagine what they'd have to say about Batman & Robin given the fact that Ebert trashes the first three of the previous Bat-Films prior to Begins.

Great find :up:

Not only a thumbs-up, but four stars. It was in his 10 best films of the year.

This feature launched today, so there's some errors that they'll eventually fix. BTW, if you click more at the bottom of the page you can see their Batman: Mask of the Phantasm review.

Siskel - "That was a scene from Batman: Mask of the Phantasm; a Batman animated feature that was made in 1993 and Roger and I never reviewed it and as far as I'm concerned, we made a big mistake."

You're DAMN RIGHT you did, Siskel!

Haha. I can't believe Siskel didn't like Hammil's voice.

I love that quote. And, I also love how Siskel was a defender of the Burton films. Ebert, unforunately, never got it.

Interesting looking back. Reminds me how much the pre-Batman Begins movies sucked.

Did I just buttf*** your sacred cow?

Okay I'm not going to be immature and drag this out...

But this statement was absolutely uncalled for...:dry:

Usually Ebert is right, but he obviously doesn't get Burton's Batman films.

At the time of it's release, Ebert said BB was one of the best films of the year.

The Forever sound cuts out for me and I can't get the Batman &Robin review to work, but I agree with Ebert for the most part. The first two Batman films were fantastic in design but they lacked strong plots. Maybe they just didn't "hit" either of us like they did most.

Siskel didn't like Hamill's Joker.:huh::down
