The obligatory stranded episode, where a fun road trip ends up with them stuck on the side of the road. Most likely due to someone locking the keys in the car or mechanical failure that is the fault of one of passenger's negligence.

When one of the kids has an immensely embarrassing incident just before the big dance or whatever and the family and friends try to convince them to go because it's not a big deal/no one will remember.

how about when a character opens up a business and part of the cast work for said business, I mainly reminded of this from Facts of Life, and Family Maters.

Also when a teenager gets into an accident when learning how to drive.

Than there's the episode where a kids friend dies. Only children deal with death in a sitcom.

-The episode where someone gets robbed (literally leaving the house empty) and then later in the episode that person who robbed them comes back to rob the SAME EMPTY HOUSE and gets caught by the police.

-The talent show episode where one of the characters, chances are played by a singer, gets in and sings to a standing ovation (sometimes done so after getting over stage fright).

and one I just remembered!!

-Main character has his girlfriend/wife fight for him. He feels like less of a man then his friend somehow knows someone that will let him hit them for money, the guy and his girl are in a public place where a guy either gets in his face or robs the place; the guy beats up that guy only to find out that it wasn't the guy he paid to get beat up.

I know that was eventually going to happen on the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and it did. I just waited for the inevitable plot turn for Will's dad to leave. Then Will went on a rant where I knew that Smith was destined to go far beyond the show to be a mega-star.

I know that was eventually going to happen on the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and it did. I just waited for the inevitable plot turn for Will's dad to leave. Then Will went on a rant where I knew that Smith was destined to go far beyond the show to be a mega-star.

Yeah that was a heart wrenching moment *sniff*.

Do people in sitcom ever do number 1 or number 2

In sitcoms from the 40's-80's apparently not but you could see they still had a bathroom and shower, maybe in the imaginary TV landscape you didn't have to relieve yourself.

But sitcoms like Rosseane would get raunchier as the 90's came by.

Couples waking up in the morning, and immediately start kissing, apparently morning breath doesn't exist.

Husband or wife rushing out of the house, grabbing coffee or a piece of toast, even though there's a big breakfeast fully cooked and waiting on the table.

Always having the correct amount when a pizza is ordered ( seriously, it's like they just reach in their pocket and hand the delivery guy a bill take the pizza and close the door)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who firstly thought of the episode from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. That scene was just perfection, and it's really one of my favorite scenes from the show. It brought a healthy load of gravitas that felt so natural for the show.

Do people in sitcom ever do number 1 or number 2

Obviously something like that would normally not be shown on air. Two and Half Men is the only sitcom I can remember showing someone sitting on a toilet bowl. Other shows have made allusions to people going to the bathroom. All in the Family used to have the sound of flushing toilets to show Bunker had gone.

Married with Children had a running joke with Al's toilet habits including his tendency to overflow the toilet. They even devoted a whole episode to his building his own personal restroom. Great episode.

My favorite is the high school kids that are in everything in the school for that ep.

I.E. chess club, prom committee, captain of the team, gossip club, fashion club, etc.
