Best TV show I've ever seen. I'm shocked there's no discussion here.

Yes, superb show, possibly the best ever, David and Keith the most realisitc gay couple on TV, wonderful performances from Frances Conroy amongst others. The last five minutes are some of the most thrilling and profound TV ever, because noting else matters as long as Claire keeps driving down that endless road:yay: I don't think we'll ever see a show as good again

Hands down one of the greatest shows of all time. The acting, the dark drama, the themes it dealt with...simply fantastic. I'll tell you one thing tho, the show was depressing as hell. No other show will have you walk away so depressed yet fascinated at the same time. I mean there were times where things got incredibly, incredibly intense, I almost couldn't handle it. But anyway, definitely right up there with the Wire among the greatest of all time.

Great great show.

No other show's ending comes close to topping this one. Maybe the Sopranos.

This show was superb in every aspect, but as another poster said it was just so depressing. I've tried to marathon the episodes a few times and each time I just get so emotionally drained, its unreal.

Has Lauren Ambrose been in anything since? She's the only one of the main actors I haven't seen in anything else.

Agreed with kquillou, I even almost gave up on the show after the ep where David was taken hostage on a torture tour of Los Angeles, it just made me so sad and angry. But I'm glad I went back to it and made it all the way through to that fantastic ending. I still sometimes go back and youtube it.

And on Lauren Ambrose, she did voiceover work on Where The Wild Things Are, but that's the only thing I recognise on her IMDB since the end of SFU. She seems to have been quite busy recently though.

I don't think it's necessarily depressing, it's the only show in the world that can kill off it's entire cast in the final 5 minutes and still have a happy ending

I remember it was a HUGE deal when they killed off Nate a few episodes before the finale. God season 5 was so depressing and so. f***ing. amazing at the same time. Throughout the whole series your thinking Nate and Brenda were going to eventually be together and then on Nate's death bed he says " Face it Brenda, some people just aren't meant to be together." That hit me like a ton of bricks. In real life, not every story is a happy ending.

After watching the finale I needed maybe a full week of introspective thought. It was so powerful and seeing all of these people, who we got so close to, die was devastating. But such is life. It's so finite and the show definitely helped me come to terms with that and also with how death is not really a horrible thing. It probably hurts the people who survive the deceased most. I think it's must watch TV for anyone who is living. Seriously.

This girl Ive been talking to was just talking about this show earlier. I think Ima hafta check it out sometime soon after I finish Farscape, Eureka, and Avatar: The Last Airbender lol

Lmao well, seeing my last comment was in January of last year I've finally started this show. ****ING LOVE IT!

It's one of the best shows ever!

She's been in a few movies including a drama called Starting Out in the Evening, where she plays an ambitious grad student who has an odd relationship with a very old author. It's better than it sounds. Lili Taylor (Lisa) is also in it as the author's daughter.

Lauren also has been in several theater productions, and she fronts a jazz band.

She was in the miniseries Coma most recently.

I've had to stop watching cuz I can't find a decent sized torrent for season 4 at all! I've stopped on like ep 9 of season 2. Gave me a chance to finish the last four seasons of The Shield though, I'm ready to get back into this one though. I LOVE this show!

Yeah I don’t get it but I’ll watch.
