Skittles Have a Secret...

I for one, am outraged!

At least I still know that right Twix is better than the left side

Hmm... I've always assumed they tasted the same if they come from the same bag or whatever. So, everything in a original flavor bag tastes the same, but still different from the "tropical" bag.

I call BS. Skittles are my go to snack at the movie theater, and I can taste the different flavors without seeing the color of the pieces. Plus they even changed the green ones from lime to green apple.

The grape ones are pretty district from the lemon ones.

Yeah, but the article did say that the different colors have different fragrances, which I can imagine would lead to having an overall different taste.

Yeah, I don't get that. "Taste" is a combination of smell plus salty/sweet/sour/bitter/umami. The only way to taste like grape, etc. is to smell like it. Maybe the fruit smell is surface level and not as strong as it could be, but still.

Yeah, I'm not sure? I haven't had Skittles in probably 15+ years. When it comes to fruit candy, I go with Starburst.

I think I'm gonna pick up some Skittles tomorrow, though. I wanna try this out.

Likely true. I'm picky with Starburst, but don't really care with m&m's and skittles.

Thus is me. I really only like the red ones. :(

They do taste different but the funny thing about this smell thing is smell I fell like has zero effect on taste at least to me smell don't effect taste at all. I have heard people say when they have a cold they cant taste food. Me no matter if I have a cold and cant smell at all or fell just fine ever thing taste 100% the same. In fact I have had really bad allergies for weeks now and cant like smell and food is tasting the same like always. The salty/sweet etc part I agree with though.

The secret wasn't murder related. Disappointed.

Or put them in the fridge.

They melt and the dye gets all over your hands.

Why would they melt in the cold?

They melt in your hands but they do that.

I like the sour Skittles the best.
