Skull Island (Netflix)

These choppy animes are getting choppier… Not sure if I like the designs either.

Yeah, its Powerhouse, so you know what you are getting. Honestly, the designs feel a step above what we've gotten in the past, and kind of feels like the Godzilla Animated Series to me.

But yeah, there are issues with Powerhouse's animation that just kind of bug me.

Oh yeah, that it does. I didn’t notice that at first. Good eye . Cool if that’s intentional.

I thought I wasn’t the only one who thought that.

Considering that the people working on this were probably in the age demographic that watched that show when they were younger (i.e.— people my age), that’s probably exactly what they were going for with this. They’re making the kind of show that they loved growing up, but for the current generation.

Hmmm, semi-choppy animation aside, the writing is... not impressing me so far. Still planning on watching this and Mae Whitman is always awesome, but that trailer definitely took my excitement down a peg. The action still looks decent though.

This looks great! I can’t wait! Now this reminds me of Kong from the original skull island movie

I absolutely loved the final battle in this series! Kong vs the Kraken was a great fight! Very well done final battle

Man, they really made Kong into a badass in this show. I really loved this more lean and agile version of Kong and I would love to see this one have an EPIC battle/throwdown with Zilla at some point.

Also, not since Peter Jackson's King Kong has Skull Island felt so vicious and dangerous IMO which I really loved and I hope we get to explore it even more in any possible future seasons/spinoffs.

I really enjoyed this overall though.
