If anyone is looking for a way to watch and control your TV or DVR on your computer this is it.

I just got my Slingbox Pro from Amazon last night and hooked it up this morning (currently watching Batman Begins on my other PC whilst I work). Very easy to set-up, doesn't require installing internal cards and with the addition of a Slinglink, you can even run the signal from your Slingbox through your electrical wiring (meaning you don't need an network jack near your Slingbox which will be located near your video source).

Highly recommended!!! Check it out:

And no, I don't work for Sling Media or benefit in any way by promoting their product - I'm just kinda jazzed about my new toy. :)

Yeah, these are very cool. I played with one of them at MacWorld in January and was impressed.

Meh! i have a tv over there and if i want to watch it on my pc i can just plug the Ariel into my graphics card. Seems a cool invention tho

The thing that appealed to me mostly wasn't watching tv shows remotely but the ability to access the Slingbox while traveling and then set it up to record shows while you are away for viewing later on when you got home again. I really don't have much use for a unit like this, either, but the technology is cool.

My dad and I just set up Slingbox Pro in my basement. We used a DirecTV DVR with Tivo that we had upstairs until we got HD boxes. Now if only my dad would do something with the 5 college football games he has which take up about 20 hours.
