Summit Entertainment has bought Miles Chapman's script The Tomb and signed Jeff Wadlow to direct.

According to Variety, the story centers on the world's foremost authority on structural security, who's forced to escape from the master prison of his own design and use every trick up his sleeve to find the person who put him there. Jason Keller is rewriting.

Project marks Wadlow's second collaboration with Summit following Never Back Down.

I was really digging the sound of this until i got to the director, still everyone has to start somewhere and i am open to give this a shot due to the awesome concept.

So there will be some ass kicking once he finds the guy?
Cool story.

Bruce Willis looks likely to play the lead in Antoine Fuqua's next directorial effort, The Tomb, according to Deadline New York.

Willis would play a prison designer who, after being framed, is forced to escape from the very super-secure penitentiary that he helped to create.

The Tomb is being produced by Summit Entertainment which hopes, Deadline notes, to get the film into production very soon.

I love a good escape movie and Bruce Willis so this one intrigues me. :woot:

Willis reteaming with Fuqua? Wasn't Fuqua's film Tears of the Sun the film where Bruce Willis sued because he was pissed about some physical mistreatment on the set?

Fuqua needs to pull his **** together and do some good material. He's only got Training Day as a good film.

Shooter was good, as was Tears of the Sun.

I thought he was injured on some on set explosion or something and he sued Revolution Studios. He was going to do a film about a cop listening to wiretaps with Fuqua and chose to do Red instead. I'm guessing they where either happy to work together during the film or they mended fences. Either way I think Fuqua and Bruce's styles compliment each others perfectly.

Shooter was good, as was Tears of the Sun.

Yeah, I also dug Brooklyn's Finest.

Wasn't there some issues with Tears of The Sun over the direction the movie went in? Personally I thought it was decent and I really liked Shooter.

This is all I could find.

Hunter, check out Brooklyn's Finest, it's like a movie version of The Wire.

Did Bruce win the suit? What I recall was he and Fuqua battled with the studios who wanted Tears to be a Bruce Willis action movie, where as he and Fuqua wanted to focus on the true nature of the events.

Brooklyn's Finest barely got a cinema release here but I am keeping my eyes open for a chance to see it.

I was hoping for Willis on this movie. We'll see how this turns out.

I'm pleased this one is still going ahead as I love the premise, we have just switched one 80's legend for another, although I think Bruce is more suited than Sly for this type of role.

I wonder why they wanted an action guy in the role. That synopsis makes me think Harrison Ford or Liam Neesson.

Doesn't matter, I'd love to see Sly doing some 52 Blocks.

For nearly 3 decades we waited to see Sly and Arnie in a movie together and now two come along at once! :D

Stallone & Schwarzenegger Confirmed for ‘The Tomb’

THE TOMB follows Ray Breslin (Stallone) who is the world’s foremost authority on structural security. He’s analyzed every high security prison and has gained a vast array of survival skills. But all Ray’s ingenuity and knowledge are about to be put to work in the most challenging test he’s ever faced: escaping from the master prison of his own design.

Schwarzenegger, in the role of Church, plays a complex inmate with multiple shades of grey. He’s the guy who fights to keep the prisoners from losing their humanity in their darkest hour as they struggle together to stay alive.

Swedish director Mikael Håfström has been confirmed for the director’s chair of The Tomb. Håfström has directed solid genre fare such as Derailed, 1408, and most recently the exorcism thriller The Rite, starring Anthony Hopkins.

So they'll be allies not enemies? Interesting director choice as well.

Can we get a new thread title, Hunter?

Also yeah, I liked The Rite and 1408. Derailed wasn't bad either.

Sounds like a ****ing parody. Who wants to see those guys portraying "shades of grey"?

I loved 1408 and I forgot he directed Derailed, it was pretty good as well.
