Smackdown 2007 for PS3 cancelled

Yep, IGN and THQ have both confirmed that for PS3, there will be no smackdown vs raw 2007. So if you want to play true next gen smackdown this year, you will need a 360.

It's still coming for ps2 and psp, in a somewhat irrelevant versions that won't have the sheer spectacle of the 360 exclusive smackdown.

Hmm.. It seems game companies/devs are running from Sony like the Plague nowadays.

PS2 and PSP won't probably be able to handle as much game as the X360 can.

It's a WRESTLING game, not Oblivion. I highly doubt that the PS2 version would be ground to a halt having to render the legs on a table or something.

Not positive. Im not sure if they use the analogue system that 360 has, but I do know it doesnt look a billionth as good as the next gen version which is life like. You will be picking up the inferior version, but the choice is still there I guess, even if it would be akin to playing pong over rockstar's table tennis.

You never know.. they might have to skimp on some features to make it work as well as the X360 version.

Just because of the type of the game doesn't mean it is always going to fill this or that mold.

I'm willing to bet my account that there wouldn't be any feature loss between the games. THere's just nothing in wrestling that would be so demanding as to exclude it. I mean the most intensive thing would be the thing with like a ton of guys in the ring at once right? I'm pretty sure the PS2 Smackdown games do that don't they.

I've seen the game though, they look like Zombies, definately not lifelike.

I hope you mean the ps2 version, because the 360 version looks basically real (I think I'd know seeing as I watch the shows regularly).

Basically, why would you choose pong over rockstar's table tennis? Thats what it basically would be.
